Jack P.O.V

A few days later

I stared at the papers spread out in front of me. Eva hardly left our room which I didn't blame her.

"How is Evangelina doing?"

I turned slightly to see Adam leaning on the table to my right.

"She is fine; she just prefers to stay in the guest room."

"I understand, now how are these looking?"

Sighing I looked at the papers.

"There are four levels to the building, the fourth floor is all offices, and the third is the hospital.

The second is where Eva and I stayed that is what they call the living quarters. There is a flight of stairs that leads to a few bedrooms and then in the basement is where they kept her family or as you know subjects one, two and three."

"What is the security like?"

I grabbed a pen and marked out each form of security as I explained them.

An hour later.

Adam rubbed his face in exhaustion and stretched.

"So that is everything?"

"Yes, this is everything that I know of. Now if you would excuse me, I'm going to check up on Eva."

"That is fine; tell her I asked about her."

I nodded and left the room.

I opened the door and peered in to see Eva curled up asleep. I quietly moved to the bed, I lowered myself onto the bed just as she started to whimper, I quickly lay next to her.

"What was I meant to do?"

"Eva?"

"Maya? Maya!"

"Eva!"

"Come back, Maya!"

"Eva!"

Suddenly her eyes shot open and she stared at me.

"It was just a nightmare."

"Jack?"

I smiled as I moved a piece of hair from her face, she moved closer to me and buried her face in my chest as I wrapped my arms around her and stroked her hair.

"Do you think I will ever be free of these nightmares?"

"Just close your eyes, I am here now."

She sighed as she is just relaxed in my arms then Eva fell asleep, I watched as she slept.

I groaned as the sun shone through the curtains, I opened an eye to see Eva resting her head on my chest, her arm over my stomach. I smiled as I watched her then I frowned. I knew I had to protect her at all costs even if that meant putting myself in danger.

She groaned causing me to snap out of my thoughts; she stretched and looked up at me.

"Morning."

"Morning, thank you for last night."

"It's ok, don't worry about it."

"Are you spending the day with Adam again?"

"Possibly, Why?"

"I just want to get out of here, it reminds me too much of Deathchace."

I smiled at her which caused her to frown.
