Chapter 3

Glory POV

Glory watched as Deathbringer sat there, wings wrapped around him, and sobbed. She thought of flying down to apologize, but thought better of it. She kept telling herself to fly away, but Glory couldn't bring herself to. Why not? 

Realization struck her like lightning.

I think...

I think...

I think I like..

I think I like Deathbringer.

She couldn't want this... But you do, whispered a part of her mind.

Glory finally decided to fly down. His tears had formed a puddle, and next to it, a broken heart. By all the moons, she thought, I made him cry. She rushed over and wrapped her wings around him. 

He looked at her, and said, "I'm sorry, Glory...." and broke down again. Glory now knew she had hurt him, too. 

"Deathbringer... I'm sorry, too.. I didn't want to make you feel like this. I was really upset..." she confessed. Deathbringer stopped crying for a moment. 

"Do you- Why do you love me?" Glory asked.

 "I love you because you're sarcastic, smart, beautiful and brave. You would do anything for your friends and your tribe, and you're always working hard to keep everyone happy. That's why I love you...." he said, shocking Glory.

She never thought that someone besides the other Dragonets would love her. "I love you too.. And I am sorry, Deathbringer. I know I hurt your feelings, as well. Before you ask, this is why I love you."

"You're always protecting me 24/7, never caring what the other NightWings think. You always make sure I'm safe, even from the smallest things. Yes, it can be annoying, but... I never told you this, but I love it. So- I love you too." Glory automatically turned pink after her little... Confession.

She hugged him tighter. All his crying was over and he hugged her back. Before she knew it, he had flipped her over so he was on top of her. Glory turned even pinker, not sure of what Deathbringer was going to do. He looked at her smugly. 

"Well," he whispered. "I bet you never thought we would ever do this." He leaned over more so that their snouts were almost touching. Me. Gonna kiss someone. Deathbringer. What. She thought. But still, she liked the thought of it. So Glory pushed her snout so that it was against his. Without further ado, they kissed. 

Tails twined, wings around each other, snouts connected, they knew finally, they had found their soulmate.

OMM... I FREAKING LOVE GLORYBRINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this is so sad, yet so... I can't really put a talon on it.... BUT! I have news!
