The noise

The horrible sounds were too much. I aimlessly walked around in circles amongst the busy humans who were roughly pushing and shoving themselves against me.

Screams and shouts filled the bustling streets as loud, large, fast moving objects stood idly on the black roads painted with white and yellows. My heart beat picked up even faster as I blinked furiously.

The lights were too bright, it felt like my eyes were burning as images and pictures were being engraved into my mind. The vibrant colors were illuminating in contrast to the dark sky. I couldn't even see a single star in the sky because of the bright lights.

"Watch where you're fuckin' going lady" a man yelled, before shoving past me.

I scowled at him.

My bare feet stepped uncomfortably on the unknown wet ground, I searched around for something familiar but nothing good came to mind. Stepping down from the higher pavement, I crossed to go to the other side only to be met with disapproving shouts and beeping sounds.

"You're blockin' the street, move out the fuckin' way!" A man shouted from within the strange objects.

Slowly crossing to the other side with my eyes still on the bright glowing lights, I found myself transfixed by one of the lights that slowly started to sway from side to side. It was an outlined image of a woman who was swaying side to side repeatedly.

She must be extremely tired of doing that.

Lowering my gaze to the door, which was crowded by a few people I found myself mindlessly walking to the entrance of the glowing lady's home. Maybe I could get answers.

I was just about to enter the open door when I was stopped by a tall man with bulging muscles and wide shoulders. He had these black mirrors perched on his nose, and a weird object coming out from his ears.

"Where do you think you're going?" He mused. His eyebrows slightly scrunching as lines appeared on his forehead.

I pointed inside innocently.

"I'm afraid I can't let you in lady-" leaning closer into him, I stared deeply into his eyes.

Placing my hands on his chest I tilted my head up slightly.

"You will let me inside" I said with an alluring tone of voice.

The black mirrors slowly slid off his nose so I could get a better look into his hazel coloured eyes, which were slowly turning darker as I spoke. Stepping away from him, I watched as he wordlessly lifted the rope blocking the door allowing me in to the surprise of the others who were still awaiting access.

Loud music vibrated in the dark large building, lights flickered rhythmically along with the music as naked woman twirled around on higher ground. Their clothes sparkled underneath the lights illuminating their bodies as they danced seductively in front of their audience.

Was this how humans found their mates?

I walked closer towards the higher platform where the woman was dancing. Men were pooled around her like packs of beasts eyeing their prey hungrily, some of them throwing paper at her.
