Some of this chapter is based off of real life events that happened to me ( specifically the mall day) ♥️
~Tomika~

Ugh, having no friends makes life boring. I have no plans for the weekend so I'm literally stuck in my room. I've literally done nothing but breath for the past hour. UGH.

I can't stop thinking about that note. Whoever wrote it tried to frame me and now I'm the one to blame. Even if I'm not in the band, I would never expose them like that. They'd have to do something really terrible to me first.

"Hey Breanna." My mother burst into my room uninvited.

"Um hello? Knock." I rolled my eyes.

"Um hello? Attitude." She shot back. "Tomika, go outside. You've been indoors all day!" She said as she opened my curtains.

"No. Can't you just be a normal mom and ask me what's wrong?" I whined.

"What's wrong, hon?" She asked taking a seat on my bed.

"Well, I told you about school of rock, right? Well they kicked me out of the band for this bitch. But she can't sing to save her damn life. Anyway, someone wrote a note to Principal Mullins and told her that we're school of rock. They wrote the note in my name and now they're all blaming me. I'm not even in the stupid class anymore!" I explained.

"Honey, I'm so sorry. But please, watch your language for heaven sakes!" She said.

"Sorry, mom. Sometimes I just have to curse to get my point across." I apologized.

"Well, you need to find proof that it wasn't you. Don't let them push you around like that. You're THE Tomika Young. The badass girl that no one messes with." My mom hyped me up.

"Yeah! I'm going to go over to Summer's house and show her just what kind of person I am and she should ever cross me again!" I said and walked out of my room with rage.

I ran down the stairs and opened the door but to my surprise a handsome boy was standing there. I immediately lost all my courage and melted dreamily. Why am I so weak when it comes to my crush?

"H-hey Z-Zack." I nervously twirled my hair. I could feel my mothers eyes burning my back as she smirked at me.

"Hey, sorry I showed up out of no where. I just wanted to ask if you'd like to hang out today?" He was with a smile.

"Like a date?" Why did I say that!?

"If you want it to be..." he said nervously. "Um, let me go get my things." I rushed away from the door.

"Mom! I'm going to hang out with a friend!" I yelled while going upstairs.

"You mean that cute boy at the door!?" She asked from downstairs. "His name is Zack!" I yelled rolling my eyes as I stuffed my things in my mini backpack.

"Your childhood friend? I thought you didn't talk anymore!" She yelled back. Oh my god I forgot Zack can hear us...

"We're best friends, mom." I sighed lowering my voice and walking down the stairs.

"Well have fun. Don't stay out too long." My mom said and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Bye Mom." I smiled and headed to the door.

"Nice to see you again Zack. I haven't seen you since you were a tiny little first grader!" My mom smiled at Zack.

"Nice to see you too, Mrs. Young." He smiled politely. "Oh please, call me Lana. Any friend of my daughter's is a friend of mine." She said.

"Mom." I rolled my eyes. "Alright, alright. Have fun." She said and we left my house.

"So where did you want to go?" I asked him.
