~Tomika~

Its been a week since our performance at Erika's birthday party and Zack and I haven't spoken much and it's killing me. We are so close and being so far apart is terrible for me.

Even though I am miserable about that, we are all pretty happy and satisfied with a new addition to our group.

Erika has been hanging out with us a lot lately and she is really fun to hang out with. She's pretty nice but one thing that bugs me SO MUCH about her is that she is always so close to Zack. Like we are sitting down and she just HAS to sit next to him and sit so close to him.

It bugs me because that's how Zack and I always used to sit when we weren't so awkward with each other. I just don't want them getting too close because I still like him...

Anyway, she is hanging out with us again today because it is Saturday and Summer arranged for us to go to the mall as a group and invited her.

I got dressed in a white spaghetti strap shirt with a flannel shirt tied around my waist. High waisted shorts and my white Nikes and got a ride from my brother to the mall.

When I got there, Summer and Erika were sitting on a bench outside talking and laughing with each other.

"Hey guys." I greeted and they both looked up at me. Summer smiled but Erika just gave me a look and went back to talking to Summer. I honestly don't know what her problem is lately. Its like she doesn't like me. I'm like, girl, I sang at your freaking birthday party...

Freddy soon came and join in their conversation leaving me out. No matter how hard I tried to talk to them, Erika always found a way to exclude me.

Lawrence finally came and I decided to just talk to him.

"Hey, Larry." I greeted as he sat down next to me. "Hey, Tomika. You look nice today." He said and I smiled. "Thanks. Is Esme coming?" I asked and he shrugged. "She's hanging out with her family but she's coming later." he said and I nodded. I was about to say something again but Erika cut me off.

"Hey! You're the cool keyboard player right?" She asked Lawrence and he nodded. "Man, you're so cool. Come sit with us!" She said and he got up to go join their conversation. Great, now I'm completely alone.

Oh wait, I'll just wait for Zack. He soon arrived in his mom's car and she dropped him off. I got up from my seat and walked over to him but Erika beat me to it.

"Hey, Zack!" She said and he smiled. "Come sit with us while we wait for Audrey." She said and he followed her to the bench as he joined in their conversation. I sat there alone for a while before I felt I couldn't take it anymore.

"Hey, Zack..." I said and he looked over at me and smiled. "Can you come sit over here for a while? I need to talk to you." I said and he nodded while Erika glared at me.

"So what do you need to talk to me about, Tomika?" He asked. "I don't like Erika." I whispered in his ear. "Why not?" He asked furrowing his eye brows.

"She hates me! If you didn't notice the way she's been looking at me all day!" I said and he rolled his eyes. "You're just being paranoid Tomika. She likes you." He said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Okay... I guess she does." I sighed and got up.

"Shall we go in?" Erika asked and I noticed Audrey had already come. "Yup! But I won't be hanging out with you guys for long. I have to work at the Potato Place." Audrey said and we made our way into the mall.

"So Summer, where should we go first?" Erika asked Summer. "Umm, lets go to Forever 21." Summer said excited. "But I hate that store." I groaned and they both turned to me.
