RS#2: He's After Me

|Chapter 6|

Mia's POV

"Please let me out" I kept on hitting the door hoping he would just let go.

I was kept in here for almost a day and my stomach is grumbling with hunger. I took a step back when the door suddenly opened.

Dimitri went inside holding a tray of food and the scent is filling up the room.

"You need to eat and I bring you food," he said

I just looked at him, silently.

"Please eat, I know you're hungry and I don't want you to be sick," he looks so concerned

He left the food on the bedside table and he starts to walk out of the room.

"You need to rest, I will take you out tomorrow and be good" he left locking the door with a click. I stare at the food and it looks heavenly. It has steak, salad, and fruits on the side.

Once I was done eating, I took a book out of the shelf and starts to read to get rid of boredom.

I can feel the sleep coming and I just let it be.

Morning came and rays of sunlight lighten up the room. The maids prepared clothes for me and I took a bath to freshen up my body.

Taking a comb in front of the mirror, I soften my hair when I heard someone enter. I saw Dimitri wearing a navy blue suit that hugged his muscular frame.

"Good morning, love you look beautiful," he said to me with a smile.

"Thank you"

He took hold of my hand guiding me out, keeping myself to stay relaxed and try a plan to get out of here.

He kept on asking me questions and I just answered him a couple of words and that's it.

"You know I love you right?" he said and I was shocked.

I stayed silent for a few seconds and my senses awoke when I felt his hand starts to tighten it's held into mine.

I forced myself to smile and nod in agreement. His body starts to relax and I was glad he seems to be in a good mood.

We went outside of the mansion and he took me to the garden. Different types of flowers and colors can be seen and I stared at it with awe. No one is around and it seems we are the only one in here.

Entering the pathway, I can smell the fragrance of all the plants combined and it was relaxing making me forget the reason why I'm here.

I was startled when a bundle of rose took me by surprise.

"Freshly picked rose for you," Dimitri said holding the roses

"Thank you"

Sniffing the rose, I opened my eyes to see Dimitri looking back at me with a smile plastered to his face. His smile is very genuine and it is my first time to see him like this. He looks very handsome and there is no denying on that but deep inside, I know he is a very dangerous person.

I looked around the garden and we are indeed alone. I can see a clearing going through the woods nearby and this is my chance to escape. I saw a shovel resting on a statue and I assume it was left by one of his gardeners.

I saw a tall bush of rose and a single white rose is resting on top. Breathing deep, it is now or never.

"D-Dimitri"

"Hmm?"

"Can you reach that white rose for me, p-please" my voice started to shake

"Of course, everything for my love" letting go of my hand he starts to approach the bush.

He turned his back and this gave me the opportunity to grab the shovel and silently follow him from behind.

He starts to reach for the flower when I raised the shovel and hit the back of his head.

I heard him groan and see him collapsed on the ground. His head starts to bleed staining the white rose that he grabbed into bloody red.

"Mia-" he tried to speak forcing himself to stand but failed

"I'm sorry," I said letting go of the shovel and I start to run

Following the clear path, I made it to the woods but not before hearing him scream my name making my body tremble in fear.

"YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY FROM ME MIA!"
