A young blonde haired girl danced around her yard, and a raven haired boy chased her.
"Come on, Xeph! You're so slow!" The girl says with a giggle as she climbs a tree quickly, and the boy, referred to as Xeph, smiles and follows her.
The two kids were the best of friends, never leaving each other's side, and the little boy always felt something for the girl, but he didn't know what.
"Hey Xeph?" The girl asks one night, and Xeph looks at her.
"Yea, Lom?" He says, and she smiles lightly.
"What would happen if we fell 'in love', like Nano and Lalna did? Would we be like them?" She asks, her blue eyes sparkling with curiosity, as she referred to their older siblings.
"Well, we may be like them. Or something completely different may happen." Xeph answers quietly, and Lom smiles, and kisses his cheek.
"Come on, silly! Lets go to the river!" Lom says and the two take off, shouting and laughing with joy.
Over time, the two grew even closer than they were as kids, but they were ripped away from each other, just as they realized what they really felt for each other.
"It's ok, Lomadia. I'll be back in a years time. I promise." Xeph, or Xephos, says, holding the girls hands with his own, staring deeply into her eyes.
"Why do you have to go, Xephos? Why do they need you?" She whispers, a tear coming from her eye, and Xephos wipes it away gently.
"I don't know. Maybe the factory found out about me through Lalna. But, they said they only needed me for a year, and I'll visit you every chance I get. I promise." He says, and Lomadia looks at him, her eyes shining.
"Ok, Xephos, I'm gonna hold you to that promise." She says and Xephos smiles, and kisses her cheek before he walks off down the road, towards the new Jaffa Factory.
-(time skip=3 years)-
The girl watched from her lookout post on Owl Island, with her best friend, Mr. Owl, perched on her shoulder.
"He's got to come back sometime. He promised he would." She says, a small tear coming out of her eye, and she doesn't bother to wipe it away.
Suddenly, a man is flying towards her, and she stands up, and sees that it's Lalna, the scientist.
"Lomadia! Xephos is hurt! We need you to come, right now!" The scientist yells, his goggles barely staying on his head.
The girls heart jumps and she flies over to the scientist, leaving Mr. Owl, and the pool boy, in charge of the island.
"Show me where he is." She demands and the two fly to the Jaffa Factory, the girls heart beating so fastly she thought it might explode.
"Xeph!" She cries as she sees the man she's been best friends with since they were little laying in a bed, a clear wound in his side, which had been poorly bandaged.
"Lom-Lomadia? Why...are you here?" He says weakly as the girl kneels by his side, crying.
"I'm here for you, silly. You got yourself hurt, so I'm gonna help you. And then you're going to come back with me to Owl Island." She says, putting new bandages on, but they just soak through.
"Hannah... I've always loved you. Everything about you... your golden blonde hair, your clear blue eyes.... I still love you." He says as his eyes flutter shut, and the girl squeezes his hand harder.
"I've always loved you too, spaceman. Don't go, please, Lewis." She says and the man just breathes faintly.
The girl leans in and kisses him passionately, as the man dies, but she swears that she can feel him kissing her back.
The girl stopped and then collapsed by the boys bedside, sobbing with grief.
A few days later, there was a funeral for the man and the girl had to be dragged away from the funeral site back to her home in Owl Island.
Over many years, many other boys tried to flirt with her, get her to love them, but she didn't.
She had only ever loved one man, and she would only love him, forever.
