CHAPTER 9

Light shown around, consuming me in veils. My body was not my own, i felt as if i was hovering over the world like a feather. A figure loomed over me basked in light, calling for me. 'God is that you!' I must be dead. In a haze i was lifted by the almighty presence, his face came into view. Mathew?

Lifting myslf to a sitting position, pain consumed my body. The first thing i saw was mathew's hard eyes digging into my soul. 'Some god huh.'

"You ok." Mathews eyebrows arched in concern. All i could manage was a nod, as i looked around ag the damage, i was hit by surprise as the fuel tanks were untouched. Besides a gaping whole in the rear wall, everything seemed to be in prime condition.

Amanda now seeing me in full consiesness,raced towards me. Her faced lit up in exitement, eyes widening in delight handed me my temporary crutches. She cried out. "Frank you have got to see this."

Wincing as pain shot up my leg as i started towards the door, each step shook me with a new found pain. Glancing back i saw rachel dabbing her chin with a damp cloth, i longed to give her some sort of consolement. 'Where were these thoughts coming from?'

Stepping outside i was hit by an array of light. As the landscape came into view, my head was filled with only one thought.

let the fun begin, Marlene pondered resting his aqua green eyes on the various platform screens regarding the many angles of the shuttle's crew. He chuckled at the thought of all the havoc he could cause on the feeble crew. his fingers wandered over the compilation of gears that layed before him.

as planned the crew had landed presiscely in the center of the circular platform, little did they know that the rest of the planet was merely a projection. he positioned the camera, focusing on the man who had just exited, Roberts. he gave himself a small grin of amusement viewing Roberts condition; requiring crutches, clothes in tatters, and blood dripping from several cuts. with a sigh he flipped a switch and the contraption before him buzzed into life. typing a code into the panel he layed back in enthusiasm of testing the machine.
