"Marigold," Rose whispered, going into the girl's room.
But she wasn't there.
All of her things were gone.
That morning at 9:00 am they were supposed to leave but Marigold had already left.
Rose forgot about that - the hugs she had given her cousin even though they would see each other the next day.
Marigold had left.

Kol felt empty.
His mate was so close to him that night but she stopped him.
He knew why now.
She didn't want to get attached but that was blown out of the window by the mating pull beginning.
He just hoped that she wasn't as hurt as he was.
Down at her family's home, however, Marigold was worse.
She hadn't slept in the past few nights.
Her heart longed to be held by her mate but in her head, she didn't
It was conflicting.
She didn't even get to know the man but he had to be the love of her life?
That seems wrong.
