i was doing some extra work on my laptop in my personal office, after welcoming my new neighbour jasmine. damn, something about her was new and exciting. she had a perfect body.. and she was so beautiful.

i heard someone shuffling around at the front door, so i decided to stop working and see what was going on.

as soon as i got to the main entrance, i saw my wife getting ready to go somewhere, as i suspected.

vanessa's eyes met mine. "i'm going out with a few friends." she said, grabbing a sweater off a hook.

"vanessa, you go out drinking with your friends every single night. please stay here with kelsie and i tonight." i said, getting slightly annoyed.

"no jack, i need to be out of the house." she said, proceeding to get ready and put on her heels. she wouldn't even look at me. she can't even give me a second of her attention.

"you're not eighteen anymore. you've got a husband and a little girl. time to grow up." i said now angry, stepping in front of the door to block her from leaving.

suddenly, vanessa whipped her hand across my face. it stung instantly.

"i'm done being controlled by you." she spat, before exiting through the door.

i turned around and realized my little girl had watched the whole thing, and tears formed in her eyes.

i instantly picked her up, and wiped away her tears. "it's okay baby," i said trying to calm her down, playing with her dirty blonde hair that looked life my wife's.

"you and mommy always fight. are you going to break up?" kelsie asked in her little innocent voice.

"i don't know baby. but we'll be okay, i promise." i said kissing her forehead, and realizing maybe i am done with vanessa, and trying to put our relationship back together.

i tucked kelsie in, and she fell asleep almost instantly. i don't know what i'd do without her, she's my little princess and truly is the one thing keeping me happy.

i realized i had so much on my mind, and so many thoughts have been roaming around in my head.

my marriage has been rocky the past few months, and with being one of the biggest business men in omaha, and working a lot, i've honestly just been so stressed, with no opportunity to get away from it all, or talk to anyone about it.

then i wondered what jasmine's doing tonight. i don't know why since earlier, my mind keeps going back to her and being curious about her. she's young, it's saturday, she's probably out partying with friends.

but eh, it's worth looking into. i decided to send her a text.

hey, what're you doing tonight?

from jas💓:
just at home chilling by myself, just one of those nights i felt like staying home. you?

to jas💓:
me too, just tucked in the little princess. things have been kind of crazy around here lately though, idk it's tiring.

from jas💓:
my door is always open, if you need to talk. i've been told i'm decent at giving advice! pop in if you need to.

it was so nice knowing somebody near by is there to hear me out. my bestfriends johnson, nate, and sammy are all on vacation. i was invited to go with them, but there was no way i'd just leave kelsie here with vanessa for a week. i'll be glad when they come back, because we all run a business together and it's been lonely without them.

i called our family nanny to watch kelsie while i was gone, and told her i shouldn't be long.
