  • Dedicated to All of you and Mr.Robin Williams, for making me laugh

A/N: This may seem silly or stupid but I cried buckets yesterday after hearing of Robin Williams' death. If you EVER need to talk, seriously I'm always here and I'm always ready to listen. Remember: You are so loved. I dedicate this chapter to you all and to Robin, because without him I would have never found the joy in the smallest of things; he shaped my childhood and my life. RIP.

Back to our story: our lovely leading man has returned! Or has he? You'll just have to stick around to see! I get the feeling a lot of you are not enjoying the sequel, and I am quite sorry for that, but I promise, it does get better (at least I hope you think it does). Chapters 10-12 are by far my favorites to write so far, but what happens in the chapters before 10 are super important. We get some more interaction with Sigyn and Loki in this chapter as it sets up more of the plot that I have you hurtling towards. I promise my loves, only a few more chapters till it makes more sense and you all will freak out ;)

Also, EllaTheShadowHunter has provided us with a new cover, yay! Feel free to message me if you want to include a photo for a chapter or something for a shoutout! Message me for details ^_^

Sigyn was all but dead when Loki reached her. This is when he wished he had been able to gain access to the palace faster than he had. He had moved as fast as he could, even creating search parties to go out and look for her, though he alone knew her location. Thankfully, she had passed out before she had fully recognized him; she couldn’t know that he was alive.

Magic radiated off of his body as fast as he could, healing the wound and drawing the poison out as he slowly pulled out the arrow. He knew the Master would prefer him to let Véar heal her, but he would just claim that it was to ensure she would live and reach the palace to be placed in prison. Her body lay lifelessly on the ground, the golden hue flowing off of her from his hands, the blood still stained and the wound minor enough now to move her.

Snagging her bridal style, she was lighter than he remembered. He could feel her ribs, indicating she hadn’t been eating that much, though he attributed that to Theoric’s untimely death. He had claimed he hadn’t loved her anymore when he left to fetch her, but holding her within his grasp, he began to question himself as he moved to another clearing where he could transport them closer to the palace.

Feeling her body warm in his arms, his cold fingers the polar opposite against her skin, he was reminded that no matter what he felt for her, she could never love him. He was a monster and she was not the one who could save him.

“Sir Skrímsli, this way for debriefing.”

It had been an hour since Sigyn had been discovered in the woods outside the village. She had blood around her and a royal arrow in her hand, which indicated she had pulled the arrow out before passing out. They assumed a sentry had seen her and had taken a shot, but no one had come forward to admit to taking her down. She now lay in a stasis chamber where Véar was working on healing her body and would shortly be placed in her old prison cell until the All-Father decided her fate.

Fandral led the way with the rest of the Warriors Three, Sif, Skrímsli along and the Captain of the Guard, Hilen. Walking into the room, the group saw that at the head of the table sat Odin, and to the right of him, Thor. Thor had been away with the Lady Jane on Midgard after some pain in her abdomen from the remnants of the aether still in her system; he had not been expected. Taking their seats, they all eyed each other with deadpanned looks, wondering exactly needed to be discussed though they all knew deep down in their guts what it was about.
