Maria
"Maria if you aren't in the car in the next five minutes, forget about me taking you to the radio station!" my mother yelled through the speaker of my phone as I finished getting ready.
My local radio station had been giving away passes for a 5 Seconds of Summer meet and greet and small show to promote their new album, and I just so happened to have won a pass the week before the actual event.
It was an actual miracle. Not winning the passes but convincing my mother to drive me to the actual place. This meant that once I got the call from my mom in the car I quickly ran to the automobile to be sure to not miss my one chance to meet the men I have been dreaming of each night.
"Sorry mom," I apologized as I put on my seatbelt.
"Oh don't apologize to me, start to think of how to forgive yourself when you realize how late you are," she replied as she zoomed off to the radio station.

"How's everyone doing today?" The radio show host starts to hype as everyone takes their seats.
While I had thought that the line would be endlessly long, it actually wasn't. As soon as my mom dropped me off, lining up and getting inside of the studio and into the lounge went by quick.
"I can't hear you, I said how are y'all doing today?" He repeated this time a bit louder which caused everyone to scream.
"Listen so as you all know the band 5 Seconds of Summer is here and let me just tell you, what they are about to release is fire. Some of my favorite songs include Empty Wallets and Youngblood. Now I am not sure what songs the guys have in store for you guys but there will be a small q&a followed by a mini set. After that, you will get a chance to meet the boys personally and take pictures with them. So you guys, give it up for Luke, Calum, Michael, and Ashton!" The host said earning more screams from the fans as the boys came out and sat on the four chairs adjacent to him.
"Hi everybody!" Ashton greeted us.
"Don't you mean hey everybody?" A boy from the crowd asked as the room broke into laughter.
"I forgot that was even a song," Michael giggled as Luke and Calum waved.
I honestly zoned out at that moment. The host started to speak but my attention was all on Luke. The way his hair was placed, the wrinkles on his jeans, the way he was smiling at the whole crowd while also joking around with Calum. The way he giggled when he saw a girl with a Kermit the frog and giggled when Ashton waved at it.
However, no matter how fat of a crush I had on this man, I was a fan and he was an artist with a normal life and I didn't have any real motive to actually like him. I guess one could say that I was just admiring him from afar.
Suddenly I was snapped out of my thoughts when the person next to me asked me if I had a question for the boys.
"Sorry," I apologized.
"Its okay, I'm Hallie," the girl with the gorgeously long light brown hair introduced herself.
"I'm Maria," I whispered back.
"You looked as if you were daydreaming," she giggled quietly as the radio host was still talking.
"Yeah, you know the fangirl thoughts. What's happening?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, Brad said that if you have any questions for the boys just raise your hand and the lady in the corner with the mic will come up to you," Hallie explained. She also explained that Brad was the radio show host after she noticed my confused expression.
