As I starting getting ready for work, I looked over at the framed flower on my wall.

"That flower represents your virginity. Once it's broken, you can never put it back together. That's why you wait until you find the person you know you will love for the rest of your days."

What my grandmother told me when I was 13 was implanted in my brain and now I can't get it out. I do also feel bad for teasing my boyfriend, Meek, because every time we make out my imagination gets the best of me and I always push him off. I know he's getting tired of it, but I can't help that I will probably be haunted by my grandma's words for the rest of my life... and I won't be able to deal with that.

Well, let me introduce myself. I'm Onika or Nicki and I'm 26... and still a virgin. I know, crazy. I am bi and have been since my middle school years. So whoever comes my way they better be ready for my crazy personality.

Anyway, I'm making a great effort to become a writer but right now, I'm working as a waitress at a very popular hotel here, The Union. My best friend, Kehlani, also works there and we've been at each other's hip since kindergarten when she beat up someone for me... let me explain.

I was a rule follower at a young age especially at school. And because of that I had bullies and those bullies like to throw hands. My mom always told me that if someone hits you, you hit them back but I was scared to. So, one day little ole Kehlani saw this girl named Dani pushing me around at lunch so she went up to her and straight up punched her in the face and knocked her out. Ever since then, I never let her go.

Now onto my lack of sexual activity, I'm scared to. Not only that I hear that a lot of girls' first time hurts a little, but I'm afraid that Grandma will find out and scold me for the rest of my life. My mom on the other hand, persuades me every chance she gets.

My mom... she's interesting. She's a very rebellious person but she has a dream of becoming a singer. I think she could do it, but I think she has a better chance at acting. I'll just let her figure that out on her own.

"Nicki! Come on, you've never been late to work I don't think you wanna start now!", I heard my mom yell and I snapped out of my trance. I grabbed my bag and phone and headed downstairs into the kitchen where I saw my plate of breakfast sitting nice and pretty.
