*the beast-it waits, the beast-it claws,
The beast sees everything, his killing bares no flaws.
With eyes black as death, and teeth sharp as sorrow,
The beast sees everything, and your life he must borrow*
-Testaments from the barely-surviving
I was alive. I felt the it within my bones. The heat had bettered me in a such way; it was indescribable. Shots ricocheted in every direction, as bullets zipped through the stale air finding a target-always. I needed a target of my own-desperately.
The warehouse was nothing short of blackness, but my vision was yet to be compromised. It was as if my eyes had reached optimum clarity-I could see everything. I could see at least six bodies left scattered on the floor-bullet holds puncturing their lifeless flesh, I could see Rin's body slumped in a lethargic position as several bullet holes remained pierced into his chest.
I felt stronger, my strength was yet to be tested but i somehow knew that I wielded great supremacy within every inch of my body. I clenched my fists together and watched in awe as my bare hands crushed my gun into mere fragments. The pieces fell from my hand with the movement of dust particles. I liked my strength. I really did.
Natsu had found cover behind a small crate, with his weapon nestled in front of him. With every silent lull, indicating that Kiso'd men were reloading their ammunition, Natsu retracted his body back, stealthily, to fire shots at his targets. But even with his skill, he was severely disadvantaged with no source of light, and the injury to his visual line. His shots had scored him atleast three of Kiso's meat heads, but his lucky streak was ending as his shots bounced off of metal piping and pierced into powdered shipments.
A sudden force lodged its way through my chest, as I looked down to find a metal bullet folded and crumbled onto my skin. The bullet remained damaged as it rolled off of my body, showcasing my abnormal strength. But the shock of such a abnormal situation failed to sink. I enjoyed this, I felt aware of my ability as if my transformation was second nature. This superior advantage was some how not new to me.
I felt the crinkle of my mouth morphe into deadly smirk, as I leaped straight ahead for the owner of the bullet; I had a deadly intent.

My arms moved independently from my body, as they teared through saturated flesh. The blood curdling howl of pain that emanated from Kiso's soldier, notified me that he was in fact not dead-but not for long. I had shredded his arm until that was merely strings of arteries attached to bone. His blood vessels burst on contact, as the red thick substance drenched my nails and skin.
His heartbeat resonated within my ears-thumping at an aggressive pace but seemed to gradually slow in rhythm.
"AHHHHHHH. PLEASE, STOP!"
His worthless pleas failed to resolve my intentions to have his heart in the palm of my hand. I had never killed another person before-this I was aware of.But I knew today I would fully satisfy my one underlining desire, to take away life. And I could do it. I knew I could. I had failed so many times before, I had hurt so many people yet failed to make the statement that I truly wanted to. I wanted to kill, I felt the need, the yearning to create a permanent pause to the rhythmic pulsating of a heart.
'you puny little kid, I'm gonna make you feel real pain'
'what hell hole did you come from?'
