"Just be yourself," Namjoon suggested, smiled at her with lips tightly shut and eyes enlarged.

Nahee stared at Namjoon straight with eyebrows furrowed. She was unsatisfied with the answer that the man just gave.

"But he won't like me," Nahee jutted her bottom lips. "Look at me." She stretched out her arm just to show how she looks. Namjoon let out an airy laugh as he fixed his sitting position, leaning forward to face his sister closer.

He slung his arm around the girl's shoulder and said, "look, sweet potato. Everyone should stay to be their own. There's no need to fake yourselves just to attract someone or something." He then made eye contact with his sister.

"Or else we call it a fake love." Nahee looked up at his brother. Still could not understand the message that Namjoon tried to deliver. The man chuckled, seeing his sister's eyebrows slowly wrinkling.

"Let me define what I mean by fake love," Namjoon paused. Before he could start what he wanted to say next, he scooted to the other side to give a space for his sister to sit. He then patted the cushion, telling Nahee to sit beside him, and Nahee accepted his offer.

He then continued, "one thing, I want to remind you. Do not pretend with something that isn't you."

"Your boyfriend might get used to the fake you if you pretend for so long. And when you change, finally showing the real you, he'll get distant because he isn't used to this you," he emphasized a word while pointing at her heart's position. "If you want to stay in a long-term relationship, you better don't mould him in a 'pretty' lie. You two will fight if he asks you why you change."

Nahee stared at her brother for quite long. The brother gave him a faint smile when he heard her lowly chuckled. He thought she might have got what he meant. He then continued to give advice.

"If any part of you changes, and he likes it. Believe me, it all happens naturally. Not even you realise it. Any part that changes that he likes, you can conclude that none of it is a pretence."

"What's the difference between changes in fake love and changes naturally, though?" Nahee asked, looking at Namjoon innocently as she tried to find the points of the difference between the two distinct changes. She had no experience with love, so she had to ask the one with a better experience.

Namjoon chuckled at Nahee's question.

"As I've said before, naturally changes make you don't realise you change, and that's because your boyfriend likes it. It's an appreciable change. But changes in fake love. You realise it quick because you have the mindset to hide the true you in order to make him love and like you. You change because of an obsession. Got it?"

Nahee blinked her eyes multiple times, still blank.

"Okay. Let us say, Eerin and I was used to be friends and now we're a couple. She knows me a lot. And I get obsessed with her."

"Of course, both of you're started as a friend and now you're a couple. And, were you?"

Namjoon rolled his eyes, thinking his sister was not being serious. But then he shrugged it off, and he continued to explain.

"Let us say I didn't tell Eerin that I'm a songwriter and I've been busy. I used to treat her like she's my priority. But then as time passed, stresses came to me and I've ignored her a lot just because of work, suddenly think that work is my priority now. I change a lot and Eerin feels disheartened because of my ignorance. It all because I didn't tell her the real me. We might fight because she feels sad that I ignored her. My ignorance affected our relationship."
