Chapter 4: Didn't See That One Coming
By the time I came home around eight, there was quite the commotion going on. Serena was in her room upstairs, bawling her eyes out and there was a man in the kitchen arguing with my mom. Surprisingly, this is as close to any other day that you can get. Serena's always so emotional, and my mom's always arguing with someone. Little did I know the reasons for what was going on.
"Cecily Parker! Get your butt into the kitchen this instant!" Mom yelled. It was so loud that Serena stopped crying, and the man in the kitchen looked at me.
"Mom is that my father?" I asked.
I recognized him from the few pictures we had of him. He had the same dark brown hair and stormy gray eyes as I do. I freaked out and ran all the way to Serena's room, slamming the door shut.
"What's going on?" she asked with red eyes.
"Why are you crying?" I asked back.
"I'll tell you if you answer me." She replied
"OK, deal."
"Shane broke up with me!" She burst into tears as soon as she said this.
Holy shiznet.
