Chapter Six: Sisters
I woke up in the morning to a blaring headache. It was even worse than last night! I had no desire whatsoever to get out of bed and face the world. So I turned over and picked up the remote to my tv on the nightstand.
While I was busy figuring out what to watch Serena came in. She had on fuzzy pink pajamas with bunny slippers.
"Hey. Can you make coffee? Katherine's out somewhere and my mom's at work." she said. Katherine's my mom by the way.
"Ugh! I'll only make cappuccinos if you make crêpes!" I said. We have a crêpe maker that dad left behind when he, you know. Disappeared. Anyway, since I loved food, yet hated cooking, I forced Serena into learning how to cook. We treated each other like sisters, you know?
"Deal!" she said. We did our secret handshake and raced down the old wooden stairs to the small kitchen, and started cooking.
