Lawn Of The Dead (P. 3 Ch. 2)

The next day...

You walk to school with Sarah aside from you. The two of you were both wearing glasses against the painful sunrises. You cross over the last street while breathing out loud.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sarah questioned while staring at you.

"It's just... I can't eat anything. It makes me feel nauseous." You complain while shuffling over the hard floor towards a new day of school.

"Well... Benny's grandma makes the best fake juices. If you want, I can ask her to make some more." You look at her while walking through the school hallway.

"Really?" You ask with doe eyes. Sarah smiles with her well-known crooked smile and nods. You sigh from relief while giving her a hug.

"You're a lif-" you stop speaking when you see your two friends. Benny's holding a box and struggling with holding it. You and Sarah lock each other gazes with a sigh. The two of you stepped up to them as Benny already strolled off.

"Please don't tell me you and dumber you did something stupid again," Sarah questioned while pointing at Ethan. Ethan turned his look at the two of you and immediately scratched the back of his head.

"What? No... we're doing noting stupid... what are you talking about?" Ethan asked with a concerned look. You cross your arms while standing aside Sarah.

"Okay, fine... I was just helping Benny, helping an innocents girls dog." Ethan described, you roll your eyes.

"You said it didn't work." You deride. Sarah looks at you with an annoyed expression.

"You knew about this!?" Sarah almost yelled. You look back at her and open your mouth, ready to talk when you hear a female scream. The 3 of you turn your heads and see Puffles jumping up to Della. A few seconds later, she ran off with the dog chasing her. Benny runs up to you three with a disappointed look on his face.

"She didn't even say thank you," Benny said clearly upset as he runs off again. You sigh while starting to walk away. Sarah and Ethan followed you while talking more about what just happened it turned into a fight like their most conversations are.

"Hey! What's up!" You hear a familiar voice while you feel two hands on your shoulders. You turn around and elbow him in his stomach.

"Seriously Rory!" You snap while he made a painful sound.

"Hey-" Rory cried while walking aside from you. You then notice that he has something around his fingers.

"What happened to you?" You hear Ethan questioning before you could even mention anything about it.

"Oh, well... I was hunting for a snack... but this time it fought back... like... like it was possessed." Rory mentioned with his dumb-voice. Sarah looked at the bandage followed by an annoyed explanation: "You don't need advantages, remember?". You look surprised at her just like Rory himself.

"Really?" You spoke without considering. Sarah crossed her arms. "Yeah, Vampires can heal themselves." Sarah mentioned, "But we don't heal as fast as full vampires though." She ended. You nod your head gently while understanding what she meant.

"Yoooo!~" you hear a voice saying next to you causing you to turn your head, seeing Rory holding the bandages in his hands.

"Fingers grow back fast!" He nearly yelled, causing you to hold back a punch. Sarah looked disgusted at him while Ethan looked shy yet embarrassed, like always.

"Sweet! High-five!" Rory said with once again, a loud voice. He moved his hand up. You hated to turn him down so you gave him one, not as hard as usual.

"Did you guys do what I think you guys did?" Sarah asked while looking straight into Ethan's eyes. Her gaze was full of violence but had a soft touch of concern in it as well.

"Raise dead animals back from the grave to get a girl's attention?" He asked while his voice moved up with every word he said, followed by an uncomfortable facial expression. Sarah rolled her eyes, "Unbelievable". With those words she escorted off. You watched her leave and looked at Ethan. You slapped his head.

"Can you ever just shut up? You know Sarah's going tㅡ" you got cut off by another scream. Rory started laughing and ran towards the sound. Ethan sighed softly while following Rory, and you? You gave up on it and started walking up. You knew this wasn't a good idea... at all.

When you came on the scène you saw Benny laying on the ground. His back against the lockers. Della was kicking the dog away while it was growling.

"Benny!" You yell annoyed while he got up, looking at you with a small smile. A few seconds later, the school principal started calling from the boxes, saying we all need to go away because of more animals. A boy had a rat on his face while trying to pull it off, the school was a big disaster.

"C'mon, we gotta go!" Ethan yelled while Rory was still laughing. You smacked his shoulder, "Are you seriously stupid or are you acting like it!?" You shout. Rory stopped laughing while rubbing his shoulder.

"Now shut up and go for your own safety!" You said with a loud voice while the school got worse any second. Rory super speeded away while you, Benny, and Ethan started running out of the school.

"I told you this was a bad idea!" You murmur. "Don't be mad at me, Ethan helped me!" Benny barked back while chasing you. You roll your eyes while running towards Ethan's house, the only safe place you guys could think of.
