It's one of these days again. The day where Ethan's parents go out, Sarah babysits Jane and the day where Benny, Ethan, and I hang out or study. Usually, Rory would join too, but after since he turned, he has has been hunting quite a lot. Especially at this time of the day. "Ugh, what's taking him so long?" I murmur while sitting aside Ethan on his bed. "He'll be here soon, don't worry. You know my parents, they always want to check everything before they head out." Ethan explains as I nod my head. "I know, I know," I reply as my eyes drift off. Ethan starts reading his comic once again. "Have you ever wondered what would've happened if we'd never met Sarah?" I question as Ethan gazes up from his comic, taking in a deep breath before silence remains. "Ehm... Not really." He replies being surprised by his own reaction. "You?" He asks back, staring at me. "Well, I personally think-" I put my weight on my hands as I shift my body towards him, sitting with crossed legs; a meditating pose. "Things would have gone out of hand," I speak up. "Sarah saved us from Jesse back at the party. If she wasn't there, we would've turn into their buffet." He puts his comic away and chuckles. "Yeah. You must've seen Rory back then." We both laughed, knowing Rory was very naive back then.
"But coming to think of it," Ethan states as I peer up at him. "You've saved us quite a lot too." I frown; "I did?" He nods as he licks his lips rapidly, getting ready to talk. "You even saved Sarah at the geek theatre. You stabbed that guy and- well, you saved us multiple times. With Puffles and then the witch fest." I chuckle and shake my head; "Witch fest?"He nods. "How would you call it else?" He inquires. I smile playfully, "It's fine, I was kidding." I place my hand on Ethan's arm with a grateful smile. "Thanks for the compliment." He smiles back as the door swings open, showing Benny Weir in a red shirt with one black stripe on and a pair of jeans.
I pull my hand away as we both gaze at Benny. He clears his throat as his eyes move forth and back. "Your parents are gone, so we have the house for ourselves." He explains with a rather earnest expression. "Well, aside from Jane and Sarah, of course." Ethan nods his head as he turns his body towards Benny. I gaze bewildered at the guy in front of us. "Do you guys know what that means?" Benny inquires a little bit more enthusiastic than before. "Well?" I ask as Benny gazes at me. "Nights of-" he pulls his hand from behind his back, showing a DVD case. "ninja's two, four!" I could sense Benny and Ethan getting excited. "Wick!" Ethan calls out his whole body shaking of happiness. I blink before starting to chuckle. "I had to wait five hours for this puppy and I had to pee- the entire time!" Ethan shifts up as I feel the bed bouncing up and down a little by the sudden loss of weight. "Then you should've sent Rory or just go to the toilet before going there, doofus." Benny gives me a glare as Ethan takes it out of Benny's hands. "What? After since Puffles came back, you have been ditching Rory." Ethan frowns at my sudden comment, glimpsing at Benny.
"That's... Not entirely true." He explained, putting a half guilty-half disbelieved gaze up. "Well, then I will ask him to come over right away." I get up and start wandering up towards the door from Ethan's room. "But- I only have three controllers-" Ethan murmurs as I turn around, facing the two of them again. "Oh C'mon E, you too?" He shakes his head. "I really have three controllers only, you can check." He reasons with a tone of concern, knowing I could snap easily after since Jesse had bit me. "Fine, I believe you." I roll my eyes and take a seat onto the bed against the bed frame, my legs laying vertically over the soft object itself. They keep their eyes glued on me. "A-Are you sure you're not going to threaten us?" Ethan asks a little bit taken back. My orbs move to Ethan. "You want me to?" Their eyes increase as they both shake their heads. "We will just play!" Ethan hurries off towards his desk, gathering all the technical supplies for the game to be started. Benny scratches the back of his head. "You will join us, right?" He asks softly, something that rarely happened. He was usually known as the loud kid everyone tells to shut up or the geek of all geeks, not the soft, timid kind of person. That was more something for Ethan.
I peer up and shrug. "We'll see," I mention as I take Ethan's comic that was laying on the bed aside me. "Good," Benny replies as I start browsing through the comic. "Nooo!" Ethan exclaims as the two of us gaze up. "It's not fair! Can't believe it burned up the processor now-" A voice crack got heard by the guy as Benny immediately grabs his spellbook from his backpack which remained close to the wardrobe. "Can't you just jump those cables? You know, so the burned one doesn't specifically need to work." I suggest as Ethan nods, grabbing some tools. "Or, we could just use a minor reparation spell." I peer up at Benny as he gazes back at me. "It can fix anything! It says so right here!" Benny points at a certain area on his book before showing me the page. "And you think you can pull it off like the time before?" I ask as Benny scoffs. "C'mon, I didn't know how this worked back then. Now I'm an amazing wizard that can shoot fireballs and light beams." He speaks up with excitement, making suiting gestures. "Booya!" Ethan calls out as he rotates his survey at us. "It works, thanks for the tip, (Y/n)." I peer at Ethan and put up a smile. "You're welcome!" I get up and wander over to him, leaving Benny with his spellbook and a gaze of slight annoyance.
I sit down on the chair aside Ethan as he hands me over a controller. Benny sighs as he puts the book on the side table of the bed. He wanders over to us as he grabs a controller himself, taking a seat in between us. "Ready?" I ask as Ethan nods quickly. My eyes turn to Benny as my gaze softens. "What's with the long face?" I inquire as he shakes his head. "Let's just play. We've waited way too long for this game." He speaks with a shrug. "Okay!" Ethan calls as he starts the game. "Take that, (Y/n)!" He mentions loudly as a hit gets heard from the screen. I gaze at Benny for a few more seconds as his eyes were glued on the screen. I nod to myself as I turn my head at the screen as well. "Hey! I wasn't even watching, you're cheating!" I state loudly, hitting Ethan's shoulder.
The three of us start playing together as usual as if nothing happened before. Benny seemed normal again, calling once he had killed one of us, whining when he lost and quoting several things from geek movies on what Ethan and I laughed in respond. We had done 4 rounds; 2 won by me, 1 won by Benny and 1 won by Ethan.
"Ethan! You're gonna wanna see this!" Sarah's familiar voice calls out from Jane's room as Ethan sighs. "Can we finish our game at least? I think I'm about to win!" Ethan calls back as he kills me. "Hey!" I give him an angry glare as he laughs evil. "Sorry Princess Puckles, but mine was stronger." I mimic him and cross my arms before gazing at the screen again. The two guys remained focussed, grunting every now and then. "Get over here!" Sarah shouts once again, causing Ethan to get off guard. A sound of defeat was heard as Ethan's eyes increase. "Booya! that's 2-1 for me!" Benny tantalizes as Ethan remains angry. "That's only because of Sarah!" He groans, throwing the controller onto the desk ere getting up, wandering off to Jane's room.
Benny and I give each other a glimpse as we both shrug before starting another round on our own. I hit his kitten/ character as I laugh. "Take that Benny's Beans!" He then kicks my character. "You know I'm good with comebacks!" He calls back as we hear rapid footsteps hurrying over to the room again. "Guys!" It was Ethan's voice which was seems confused nor frightened. "Wait, we're in a game!" Benny replies loudly as we both gaze at the screen like zombies. "Th-This is way important." Ethan tries again. "Okay," I state. "We both stop at the count of three," I mention as Benny replies with a yes. "One-" I start. "Two-" Benny continues as Ethan remains in the back in disbelieve. "Three!" I stop playing as Benny kills me. "HEY!" I rotate my body and start hitting him.
"MAYDAY! MAYDAY! Officer down!" Benny falls off his chair as he places the controller down on the floor. "Guys!" Ethan shouts as we both gaze up instantly. "It's Jane's doll." He adds as we both get up again. "Jane's doll?" I ask as Benny rolls his eyes. "You're calling us out because of a stupid doll?" Benny fills in as I nod, pointing at him in agreement. Ethan shakes his head followed by an exhale. "It's not just a doll, it's human." We both gaze at each other as Benny peers at the side table. His green orbs turn into defeat nor annoyance, making a fist. "Jane Morgan." He murmurs as if he's playing in the newest Starwars movie.
Ethan and I shake our heads as we all hurry out of the room to Jane's, only being welcomed by a rather tall woman which wears blue high heels, a silver pair of leggings along with a white, shiny skirt that had a slight tone of pink in it as well. She also wore a pink top that nearly seems like a barbie school uniform's top. Her hair was dark blue and just over her shoulders. "What the heck is that-?" I murmur in disbelieve as the human-doll wanders around in Jane's room, scanning the place.
