What I Have Now- Lauren/you

Chapter 4

After we stood up we kind of just stared at eachother for what felt like a long time. until we heard someone call our names.

"Lauren? Skylar? Is everything alright? You guys have been gone for over 10 minutes." Ally asked clearly worried.

Me and Lauren both broke out of our trance and looked at Ally.

"Oh yeah we're fine we were just talking" Lauren said to Ally, while reaching for my hand.

"Come on lets go back." Lauren said to me, as she was dragging me back to the restaurant.

Me and Lauren shared a burger and fries and we also shared a milkshake. After finishing our food we all sat there in a comfortable silence.

"So what made you move to LA?" Dinah asked me obviously curious.

"Oh well I kind of just wanted to get out of my small town and go somewhere big. Also, there are certain people that I wanted to get away from." I said.

"Like who?" Lauren asked concerned.

"Um.. well like my ex... and some bullies." I replied.

"oh I'm sorry." Lauren said.

After a few more rounds of bowling, that our team won, we said our goodbyes and I was now heading back to my apartment. I don't know where this left me and Lauren after the whole kiss thing but she seemed into it so I guess maybe she is bi. Also, when we were saying goodbye she hugged me for like 2 minutes. Not that I was complaining, but I was confused. We're we going to hang out again? Or was this like a one time thing and she ended up realizing that the kiss was a mistake. I honestly didn't know.

I unlocked my door and plopped myself onto my couch. It was already 6pm and I was exhausted and hungry. I decided to order a pizza because I felt like it. It finally arrived and I sat on the couch and watched Insidious 2. I know it's a horror but I was kind of in the mood for one and I'm sure I'll be fine.

Halfway through the movie my phone buzzed oh my god that scared me.

Unknown Number: Hey :)

I have to admit, I was quite scared right now. I think the movie made me be extra cautious because I was wondering who this was and how they got my number.

Me: hi... who is this

Unknown Number: Lauren! :)

Me: Omg thank god. I was freaking out

Lauren: What? Why??

Me: I'm in the middle of a horror movie and I was expecting you to be a murderer I guess. Wait how did you get my number

Lauren: I stole your phone while you went to the restroom. I was coming to give it back when we bumped into eachother.

Me: oh haha

Lauren: can we talk? Like about earlier.

Me: Whats there to talk about?

Lauren: I'd rather do this in person, can I come over?

I said yes and gave her my address. Apparently she lived a couple of blocks away from me so she was going to be here any minute.

I heard a knock at the door so I got up, paused my movie and opened the door to see a happy looking Lauren.

"Hey!" She smiled.

"hey lauren" I smiled back.

"so what are you doing?" she asked

"oh I was just watching a horror movie." I replied.

"well do you want to finish it together?" she asked with a hint of hope in her eyes. What was up with her?

"yeah sure" I said walking to the couch. Lauren came behind me and sat right next to me.

Close to the end of the movie I got really scared and Lauren put an arm around me to comfort me. Im not going to lie, I liked being this close to her. Somehow she made me feel safe. When Im with her I feel like all of my problems are gone but I don't even know if she feels the same way that i do so I dont want to get my hopes up.

"Skylar?" Lauren asked playing with my hair.

"yeah?"I replied.

"So remember I was saying that I needed to talk to you?" I nodded reassuring. "Well I um was actually wondering if you would like to be my girlfriend." She asked.

"Id love to." I said back.

She smiled up at me.

"okay great. Well can you come with me for a bit?"  She asked getting up and holding her hand out for me to take.

"Where are we going" I asked standing up and taking her hand.

"it's a surprise." She said leading me out the door to her car.

After we drove for 5 minutes we pulled up to another apartment building. She led me out of the car and linked our hands once again. We walked into an apartment and the living room was full of pillows and blankets and candles.

"woah" I said looking at the scene infront of me.

"I thought that we could pull an all nighter while talking and get to know eachother better" Lauren said. This was seriously the nicest thing anyone has ever done and we've only been dating for like 10 minutes.

"that sounds perfect." I said.

I woke up the next morning completely forgetting where I was. Oh right. I guess I fell asleep while talking to Lauren. We literally talked for hours and it was perfect. We learned so much about eachother and we did kiss a lot too. But where was she? I heard noises coming from the kitchen so I went to see who it was.

"Camila?" I said seeing the brown eyed girl in the kitchen making pancakes.

"Oh hey Skylar!" she said. "Are you hungry?"

"um yeah actually thanks." I replied.

Camila then handed me a plate with 2 pancakes and I put some butter on them.

"No syrup?" Lauren asked walking into the kitchen and placing a kiss on my cheek. She then sat right beside me and got some pancakes for her self.

"Um no i'm not a huge fan of syrup." I replied.

"Me neither. I put nutella on mine." She smiled while putting nutella on her pancakes.

"That's gross" I giggled.

"What? NO! you've seriously got to try this, Sky." Lauren said while putting the fork up to my mouth. I took the bite and was surprised actually.

"wow." I said.

"I told you they were good!" Lauren said while sharing the rest of her pancakes with me. After we were done eating, Lauren took me to her room to check it out. It was huge! And not to mention, beautiful. She had a book case with over 100 books on it and she has a big bed in the corner with a walk in closet and her own bathroom.

"Wow your room is awesome." I said.

"thankyou. I barely have gotten any time to spend here though. Im always out." she said sighing.

"Well hopefully you get more free time." I said smiling.

I guess she knew what I meant because she stepped closer to me and gently pushed me against the wall. My heart was beating really fast. She put my hands around her neck as she put her own hands on my waist. She then crashed our lips together, feeling the sparks yet again, I kissed back. It wasn't rough kiss, more like a passionate one that everyone dreams about having. It was perfect. Once we were out of air we pulled away breathing heavily. yep, I could get used to this.
