The sun streamed through the old, cracked window as Harry gathered his things and made his way over to the unrequited lovers. He walked over towards Zayn and smacked him on the head.

“Up!” Harry yelled. “Get up!”

Zayn shot up, confused. He looked around and tried to get a sense of his surroundings then he noticed April sleeping peacefully beside him and scooted over abruptly. He had forgotten about the fact that they had slept together last night. He smiled faintly at the beautiful, peaceful look on her face as she slept, but quickly looked up at Harry.

“What do you want?” he asked him coldly.

“We have a duty to uphold and in order to do that we need to look presentable and actually be fed and what not, so your task for today is to get us some necessities and now that we have a guest you need to get stuff for her as well,” Harry commanded him, reaching into his backpack to grab a toothbrush and toothpaste. “We’re both running out of toothpaste and you don’t want your breath stinky around your girl, do you?”

Zayn got up and brushed himself off and ran his finger through his hair, aggravated. “Please don’t talk about her,” he said quietly. “Are we all going or what? Because as much as you believe she enjoys my company, as soon as she gets a chance to escape…she will.”

“I’m not stupid. I know that. And since I lost your trust after you tried to run away, she’s staying with me all day while you’re gone,” he said, snickering.

Zayn felt his stomach drop and he began to feel woozy at the idea of Harry and April being alone together all day. He could barely stand having Harry lurk around all day when he was there to protect her. He shuddered at the idea of her being alone with Harry and reluctantly imagined all the ways Harry could harm her while he was gone.

He shook his head. “Nope, no,” he said, pursing his lips. “Not going to happen.”

“Malik, you have no other choice. I’m not going to leave you two alone and we all can’t go get supplies unless you want us to get caught, which with our new add-on, would not be wise.”

“Promise me,” Zayn said, determined. “Promise me that you won’t harm her at all while I’m gone.”

“Let’s just say that there won’t be any permanent damage once you come back if you come back with the right stuff this time and don’t get caught,” he warned. “We both know what happened last time.” He nodded his head towards April. “We got a stowaway.”

“I know,” he groaned. “It wasn’t my fault either.”

He looked at him incredulously. “You were the one that forced us to go towards your house because you wanted to pick some things up and we got spotted! I wanted to just head back towards the forest as soon as we finished robbing the place, but no you had to go home and grab a few things,” Harry mocked Zayn.

“It would happened anyway,” Zayn said quickly in his defense. “They had a bunch of security up, so we would have been chased anyway.”

Harry shook his head and turned around to set down his backpack. “If you say so,” he said as he reached into his bag to pull out a bottle of water. “You better start heading towards the nearest town if you want to get back before dark. I’m sure your girl is going to get hungry and we have no food right now.”

Zayn stormed over to Harry and shoved him as hard as he could. He grabbed him up by the collar of his shirt and pushed him up against the mantelpiece. “I told you not to talk about her,” Zayn spat at him, cold, callous, malicious. “You are not going to hurt her. You are not going to touch her. At all. You are not going to mess with her in any way at all. You are going to stay with her and protect her and that’s all you’re going to do. Do you hear me?”
