I wake up the next morning to see Lola and Kat hovering over me, staring.
"Don't be creepy." I groan.
"You were talking in your sleep." Kat states.
Lola follows, "it wasn't english. Sounded almost like spanish, but nothing we learned in school."
"I was probably talking about burritos or something. Speaking of which, can we go get Taco Bell?"
"For breakfast? Hell no." Kat remarks.
"Are we just going to ignore what happened last night?" Lola questions.
I nod, getting out of bed.
"Friendly reminder that blood was coming from your eyes." She whisper yells.
"Blood will be coming out of your eyes if you don't stop talking about it."
She rolls her eyes.
"Screw it, we had a hard night," Kat decides, "we're getting Taco Bell for breakfast."
"I'm going to shower quick," I tell them, "I think there's still blood on my chest. Take whatever clothes you guys need."

Kat's point of view

"So she just let's you take whatever you want?" Lola asks me as I throw on one of Sara's hoodies.
"Pretty much. We probably have half of each others things anyways at this point. We've been best friends since we were like eight."
"That's really cool. My family has always moved around a lot, so I never really have the change to make close friends."
I sigh, "sorry dude, that sucks. Not trying to change the subject, but what are we going to do about the whole situation we're in?"
"I don't even know, I've never dealt with something like this before. I finally make some friends and one of them bleeds out of her eyes."
I try to be rational, "Maybe we're over exaggerating. It could've been blood vessels popping from the stress or something."
"Maybe, but I have a feeling it's much bigger than that. Bigger than any of us."
"How so?" I wonder.
"I'm not sure. I just feel like there's kind of an evil energy surrounding Saraphine."

Saraphine's point of view

"I'm not sure. I just feel like there's kind of an evil energy surrounding Saraphine." I hear Lola tell Kat.
Evil? I'm the farthest thing from it. I volunteered at the animal shelter twice a week!
I do know that I feel different since last night though. Not evil, just a little bit off. As much as I can deny it and pretend it didn't happen, I did cry blood.
I decide to disregard what she said.
I walk back into my room, "you guys ready for breakfast?"
They nod and we all get into Kat's car.
"I'll have two crunch wrap supremes and an order of nacho fries. Oh, and a baja blast please." I tell the machine in the drive through.
Kat and Lola order their food and the voice tells us to drive up to the second window.
We go to the park down the street to eat our food, only making small talk.
"Do you want me to drop you guys off at your houses?" Kat asks.
"Yeah," I respond at the same time Lola says, "sounds good."
As we're driving back toward my house, I see someone standing in the street in the distance, but Kat isn't slowing down.
"Stop the car!" I scream as we get closer.
The car comes to a screeching halt and Kat and Lola both look back at me.
"You didn't see the guy in the street? He's right there!" I point, only to realize that i'm pointing to nothing.
"What hell Sara!" Kat scolds me as she starts driving again, "you scared me. What if I swerved? We could've gotten hurt!"
"I'm really sorry. I thought I saw some one." I genuinely apologize.
"Are you going to be okay here by yourself?" Kat asks, stopping in front of my house.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Again, I'm really sorry you guys."
I get out of the car and the second I step through the front door, I see my mother.
"Where were you? Were you out all night?" She asks.
"Kat and Lola stayed over last night, we were just out for breakfast." I inform her.
She relaxes when she hears that I was home.
"Who's Lola?"
"New friend. I met her last night."
"Is she the hot one?" My brother Jeremy asks.
I scoff and go upstairs to my room, throwing myself onto my bed.
I get to thinking, and I figure out that the man in the road was the same guy from last night. The question is, was I hallucinating him? Or was he really there? Either way I'm a bit freaked out.
I lay there for a while and end up drifting into sleep.
I'm running throught the woods as fast as I can. I can see the green of the trees blurring as I speed past. It's dark, I can barely tell where I'm going. I look behind me, but I trip, knocking myself to the ground. I scramble to get up but I'm not quick enough, and he grabs me. He leans close to me, I could feel his hot breath as he whispers in my ear.
"He is coming for you, you belong to him."
I wake up out of breathe.
"Bad dream?" I hear a deep voice ask.
I go to scream but his hand is over my mouth as soon as sound is about to come out.
I hit him and kick him but he doesn't budge.
"I need you to calm down," he states, "I just need to talk. I won't hurt you. I'm going to move my hand, but you can't scream."
I nod.
He slowly takes his hand away and I try to run for the door, but he grabs my arm.
I give up, not caring if my life is in danger.
"What do you want from me?" I ask, defeated.
"I just want to talk, if you'd be a normal human being for a minute and not yell at me." He whispers.
"Fine. You have five minutes before I scream at the top of my lungs."
He sits down on my bed.
"I'm Hermes. I came here to talk about Hades." He states.
I scoff, "yeah, and I'm Zues."
"You don't believe me? Of course you don't. Humans are so complicated, have a little faith!"
"Who are you really, and what do you want?" I question.
"I'm Hermes, and I want to talk to you about Hades. I'm serious about this. Your life is going to change and you should be prepared."
I could tell by the look in his eyes that he believes what he's saying.
"What's so life changing?"
"You see, you're turning eighteen in two days. That means that Hades will be able to bring you into the underworld."
"Say this were real, why do I have to be 18?"
"No living person under 18 can enter the underworld, it taints their soul." He sighs, "but Hades wants you, and he always gets what he wants."
"He sounds like a conceited asshole, no thanks." I snap.
"He's a nice guy really, just a little rough on the edges."
"If I see you, or anyone else like you on my birthday, I'll rip their heart out myself." I snap.
"You're feisty, Hades will like you." He scoffs.
"Then I guess I'll have to change his mind."
