I have the answer in me.

And it's weird, but a good kind of weird.

You look at me, eyes incredulous, curious. I guess you didn't expect my answer.

But I give you a smile. Yes, it's fine. I'm fine.

I'm actually overwhelmed by this sudden feeling, awashed in elatedness. This, this feeling of loving you, and being content in just loving you.

I can still love you even if you don't love me back.. as long as your happy, I'm happy.

See? Our happiness is meant to be.

"I'm still staying."

You stop for a moment, taken aback by my response. I hear you clear your throat and you look away after staring at me. My cheeks heat up. This is like the time I confessed to you. You acted like this, too. Wary, but you were willing to give me a chance.

I guess I have a problem. I can love you like this.. but will you let me?

"Will you.."

You look back to me, startled again. "What?"

"Will you let me though?"

"Let you what?"

My g od you're so adorable.

I breath out, and daringly hold your hands one more time. Am I seeing you blush, too? Hm?

Another genuine smile escapes me, I can't keep up anymore.

"I know I'm in the wrong, leaving you waiting for a nothing like me. And then I come back and just.. say all this nonsense."

"Yes. Yes, that's right."

"I'm sorry.. I know I've said that.. and.. I think I'm holding your hands too tight."

We both look down on our entwined hands.

You start to chuckle.

"Can you finish your speech cause my hands are sweating like crazy."

"Sorry.. I.."

"Yes, you're sorry. Continue on.

I didn't notice we stayed this long here. But the countdown for the New Year just started.
