My world came crashing down in that one moment.
He knew.
"H-How... D-Did Chan tell you?" I asked softly and he shook his head slowly.
"Woojin," he corrected and I looked down, remembering the moment where Woojin had found my razorblade and freaked out. "Felix, I want to see them.. your cuts, I mean."
Then I hesitated. For a very long moment.
I could see Seungmin and Hyunjin watching with a smile on their faces. Of course, I guess they didn't hear what we were talking about and were just happy to see us talking again, but it was still unsettling because they didn't know I had been cutting in the first place.
I let out a soft, hesitant sigh before lifting the sleeves of my sweatshirt slowly.
I lifted them both up past my elbows to get every single little cut showing and then stuck my arms across the table, making the deep, very noticeable cuts seen.
I heard Changbin harshly suck in a breath before grabbing my wrists gingerly, examining each and every cut. Suddenly, his eyes got very cloudy and soon enough, he had little tears flowing down his cheeks, which made me tear up as well.
"Lix, why?" he tried to speak in a stable manner, but ended with a voice crack and a whine.
"I-I.." Words couldn't be formed at that very moment. I tried to speak a full sentence, but failed because of the lack of words I had to say. I had been cutting because I was suffering, but I had refused to talk to any one of my friends in fear of them getting tired of me and simply not talking to me. I was in fear of being a burden to my friends.
They all had their own lives to handle and didn't have time to handle another. So why would I try to force my problems onto them? I wouldn't. And that's what I refused to do.
Noticing my struggles with words, Changbin cut me off.
"Never mind that. Do you have them anywhere else?" he asked and I nodded. "Where?" the stunning black-haired man asked next.
"O-On my thighs.. and stomach.." I answered shyly.
"When did this start?" he asked, once again, ending his sentence with a more confused whine.
"Well, I-I'd say about a week ago, maybe a little more," I said and he sighed.
"Please, please, promise me, Lix," I saw Changbin sniffle, crinkling his nose as he did so, and then wiping his tears. "Promise me, you'll never resort to doing this. Ever again. Over anything."
It was hard to promise something like that because you never know what the future may hold, but I promised him that anyway so it might make him feel better and not so tense and on edge.
"Y-Yeah.. Okay," I whispered and took a sip of my coffee slowly, thinking about what I had just promised my best friend.
Luckily, the future wasn't so bad after all.//
