I Finally Met Lord Balgrott

I know the title may seem a little weird to a few of you. Lord Balgrott is Nick's World of Warcraft toon name. I have been one of the lucky few that has gotten to play with him. I've been playing with him since 2009, he's pretty awesome. Anyway, I'll stop gushing and just tell you about my review where I first met, Nick Carter...and of course the other Backstreet boys.

I went to the concert in Universal at the Gibson Theater in California June 26th, 2010 with a few friends. And honestly this was the best concert I've ever had and I wish I could relive that day over and over again and I will tell you why...

The day was pretty damn hectic. We woke up late and were going crazy with showering and going nuts with our hair and makeup. We woke up around 10am and we wanted to be at Universal by at least 2 or so. We were supposed to have been up by at least 8...but we had a concert the previous night as well...hehe. Anyway, so me and my friends had VIP and I was beyond nervous because well, I've been wanting to meet the boys since I was only 14 years old, especially Nick. We got to the arena around hmmm, I think I'd like to say 1:30pm and it was so freaking hot out! I was wearing this pink lace tank top with jean caprees and the sun was beating down, so I got a little burnt. It seemed everyone that worked there had no idea what they were doing. They were sending us on the run around, it was frustrating. I was carrying a white bag with a shirt that I had custom made for Nick. It was a WoW related shirt and I couldn't wait to give it to him.

He has helped me in so many ways. I've had depression since my break up with ex-boyfriend of four years, and around that time is when he invited his fans to play the game with him. My then friend Karen asked if I would give him something since she wasn't going to be able to meet him and I told her I would. So we're sitting outside for God...at least an hour in the blazing sun. Around 4:30 they opened the gate and Justin gave us our VIP pass, but they made us wait another half an hour and maybe 5:30 or 6 they FINALLY let us in.

As I told you, I play World of Warcraft and so did Karen also known as Nads and Nick's given us a few shout outs through twitter. She made us both WoW signs with our characters' names and the Guild name on the bottom which said "Kaotic Army." So during soundcheck, we both showed him our WoW signs, she lifted hers before me and oh my God, I just wish someone videotaped how much his face lit up. He smiled so wide and said, "Heyyy!!!" I then lifted my sign and he laughed and turns to the other guys and says, "You know how I play Warcraft?" He then turned back to us and laughed again and said, "There are two soldiers here tonight. Ladies, turn your signs around." I don't know why, but I melt when he says ladies hahah. Anywho, so we did. It was just amazing, we got his attention and without a doubt he was so happy. Anyway, enough about that. So the boys sang, "Shattered, Masquerade and What I Know Now." Nick was hilarious; he put bubble wrap in his shirt and looked like he had DD breasts LOL!

He makes me laugh. Some fans got to ask a few questions – I didn't ask anything, felt no need to. So then the photo came and I was sooo nervous, I could not stop trembling. My only thought in my mind was "Give Nick the shirt, give Nick the shirt." So I walk up to him and took it out of the bag and hand it to him and he takes it, I said "I got you something and I hope you like it." I saw that I was being rushed so I said, "I'd love to see you look at it." So he laid it out on the stage and his eyes grew wide and he said 'THANK YOU!" And I'm being dumb, "I'm like do you like it?" hahah he said, "Yes, yes I do. Thank you so much" He turns to AJ and puts his hand on my shoulder and goes, "She's my solider" *sigh* Even though the other Backstreet Boys were there, the only one I could see was Nick, woops ;p I'm being pulled by the other guys as they're shaking my hand, but Nick and I made small talk about the game.

I was so distracted by seeing Nick, after I shook their hands I start to leave; I totally forgot about the picture and AJ is looking at my friend Mel like "WTF is she doing?" haha Nick asked, "where are you going?" I almost died 'cause I'm laughing and yeah, they're laughing at me. *That's why Brian's making that cheesy face* So I walk up over to Nick and look at him and ask him if he could put his arm around me, and he wraps his arm securely around my shoulder *another sigh* I was so happy, I was officially on cloud 9. So before I leave, I ask him if I can get a hug and he hugs me and then he tells AJ about his army and he wouldn't understand lol. I was then forced to leave...boo haha.

 As I'm walking away, I'm like "FUCK!" I forgot to give Nick Karen's gift. I couldn't help but feel completely horrible, but I couldn't go back. I wanted to cry. So after my other friends were finished, I told them and how bad I felt. I mean I was being rushed horribly. They said it wasn't my fault and whatnot, but I still felt bad. I told her how sorry I was and she said it was okay, but I could see how upset she was. I swear there must have been an angel or something because you won't believe who I saw! Nick's friend at the time, MBA! I got up to him and I'm like, "Mba, hi! It's Kim." He smiled and hugged me so tight and said "happy birthday" I was pumped he remembered *I told him a week in advance* But he had to run and I couldn't ask him about the gift so I was bummed about that. However, when we were walking up this hill to get to the arena a little while later my heart jumps as I hear, "BOO, BOO, BOO" it's Mba behind me haha. He startled me, and he walks up and pasts me and he stops and is on the phone and I gave him the bag and he takes it and said he'd give it to Nick. I also gave him this cute little WoW stuffed animal for Lauren. She told me a while later that she put it up in her and Nick's game room. Anyway, so I hug him and he's such a doll. So that made Karen very happy.

And my GOD! When I say our seats were good, THEY WERE GOOD!!! We were so close I could actually see the opening act's spit come out of their mouth hahah *and they were horrendous* We were right above the floor; where the pit was. So when the boys came out, it was just intense Me and Karen had our signs and during Quit Playing Games I held mine up and Nick saw me and pointed and my God the smile he had on his face, it was just priceless. Since he had spotted us, we decided we didn't need the signs anymore. I went to the Casino show the night before and most of the show he was on the left side and my friend, Ashley said that at her shows she's been to, he was on the left as well, but this show...he kept on wandering to the right. He was showing me and Karen so much fucking attention is was just so amazing!!! He would go to the left side every now and then, but he was constantly over towards the right. And I forget which song it was, but Nick wasn't singing and he was lipping something to me and I had no idea what he was saying. He did it like 3 times and me being a dumbass couldn't make it out haha. So my other friend, Kelly leans over to me and goes, "Is he saying Kaotic?" and my eyes blew up and I'm like, "OMG HE IS!" He loves his Kaotic Army without a doubt. He just seemed so happy that night and his performance was outstanding and Kelly goes, "He's so happy that you're here!" That just wow, that just made me feel amazing, he truly was happy that his soldiers were there.

The boys sang Incomplete and that is now my ultimate favorite song ever! So Nick was on the left side and he looked so serious as AJ was singing; almost like he was thinking of something. So I go to Karen, "What's he doing?" It was odd, his eyes were right to us, no joke; he was staring at us for a good 20 seconds and then he jumped down the stage and started walking over towards our side and our jaws just dropped! Girls were running over towards him and he's singing as girls surrounded him, he's actually struggling to get close to us and I was just blown away. Our eyes still locked and finally he realizes there's no way without drowning in the girls so he stands on a chair and my thought was, "Oh my God he's not gonna try to walk on the chairs is he?" My friend Mel took awesome pictures of that! He sang so perfectly, despite being smothered by fans and got back on stage. That was just....wow. Just knowing he wanted to see us, outta everyone, US! I was thinking maybe it's because Karen hasn't met him and he wanted to do something nice, but serious Carter, are you nuts? hahah My other friend goes to us, "His eyes were locked on you, he wanted to walk over here." And my goodness, just remembering that gives me butterflies The show was just phenomenal – best I've ever had, but sadly it had to come to an end With Straight Through My Heart.

I can assure you, I will never forget that night...he was amazing....I cannot wait to see him again. This was how my addiction began...
