May 26th 8:34 a.m.

I approached the front of the small café I ordered at daily, the cold New York air giving me slight chills as I pushed my shades higher onto my nose, concealing my identity further.

I have only gotten identified by name once, by a barista swearing I sounded just like Noel Scott, ha,
no kidding.

Other than that I was never approached while "in disguise" and I loved it.

This was the one part of my day that was normal, that was mine.

It was a small amount, but it was still mine.

I stuffed my hair further into the hood before entering, inhaling the wonderful scent of coffee beans and vanilla.

I ordered my usual, the coffee for me and green tea for Austin.

I started ordering for him in the beginning of our relationship, back when it was real and we were really in love, but just like everything else he soon he started expecting it and stopped appreciating my small action. I didn't mind doing it for him, I loved him. I would have done anything for him, but then it would always result in a fight when I didn't bring one for him; so I consistently did.

Whatever it took to stop a ripple in our relationship.

Then once all of the love drained from our relationship,

Whatever it took for him to keep my secret.
