The whole world were reporting it, talking about and discussing it in shock and horror. But they weren't all living through it, carrying the wife and child to the hospital, pulling their best mate out of the car his body complete floppy.
David drove me, Lucca, Felipe junior and a wailing Rafaella to the hospital. I couldn't say anything, I couldn't move the whole drive there even this the two children and Rafaella crying in the back. It had all come back to haunt me. The day my brothers braking system stopped working and he flew into a concrete wall at 290kph, the state of this if body as they pulled him out of the car, similar to that of Felipe's...lifeless
We arrive at the hospital and David picked up the two kids as I helped Rafaella inside. There were cameras already ever where screaming and shouting for their shot. We were greeted by the doctor as soon as we entered and he lead us to a private waiting room.
"On arrival your husband was awake but he had suffered serve damage to his head and spine. We have taken him into surgery and he will be out in 4 hours. I will let you know when I have any more information" the doctors states then walks out
"AHHHH NO MY HUSBAND. MY LIFE. MY LOVE. NOOOOO" she screams and begins to cry uncontrollable.
"He'll be okay Hun. You heard the doctor, he was awake when he came up. That's a good sign, they just need to fix him up a bit so he is complete back to normal and okay for you and junior" I cry holding her tightly
"Eu estou grávida. Eu estou grávida Inessa. três meses. eu não posso perdê-lo agora. eu não posso" she screams
(I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant Inessa. Three months. I can't lose him now. I can't)
I look over to David and nod towards the children, he understands and try's to get their attention on the children toys I'm the room
"você precisa manter a calma e forte para você e seu bebê, então meu amor. por favor, venha. mal ter um pouco de café. não há nada que possamos fazer agora, mas esperar o meu amor" I beg
(You need to stay calm and strong for you and your baby then my love. Please come. I'll get us some coffee. There's nothing we can do now but wait my love)
I get up to leave the room as Layla, Hulk, Nando, Rob, Bruno and his mum come into the room
"I'm going to grab some coffee, keep an eye on her and do you guys want anything?" I ask everyone in the room
They all agree as Bruno and his mum maya head over to the boys
"I'll come give you a hand freckles" David calls out following me out of the room
We get half way down the corridor when I stop, my legs freeze and feel my body shake
"Hey, hey come here sit down" David says taking me to a seat and kneeling down in front of me
"It will be okay...he'll be okay... You can talk to me freckles"
"I can't do this...it..it brings back Alfie and the crash..I can't relive it all again..I can't lose him Davi"
I begin to cry and throw myself down onto David. He pick me up and sits me on his knees, he slowly strokes me hair as I push my face into his neck and cry.
"Don't worry my love. It is okay to cry you don't need to stay strong in front of me..I'll protect you and Lucca. Shh. It's okay" he whispers in my ear
"I'm so sorry..I'm sorry I slapped you..I'm sorry..you mean to much to me Davi...your such a good friend..you were just trying to look out after me and I was a complete knob"
"That doesn't matter now my sweet freckles, and I'm sorry for the harsh things I said they were too mean"
"I'm so glad you're here Davi"
He just continues to hold me tightly stroking me hair until I finally stop crying.
"Let's go get them coffees" I say jumping off his knee and grabbing his hand
He intwines our fingers as we grab the coffees and head back to the waiting room. When we get back to the room Rafaella is staring blankly into space, I let go of David's hands and sit next to her passing the coffee and putting my arm around her lightly stroking her back.
4 hours later the surgeon walks into the waiting room
"The surgery went well, he still out at the moment and the next 24 hours will be critical but i am hopefully" he half smiles to us
"When will he wake" I ask
"We believe within the next 8 hours but we cannot be sure"
"But he will wake up?" Rafaella cries out
"We're confident, yes"
"Can we see him" I ask
"One at a time...it might not be something the children will want to see either, he is bruised a lot"
I turn to Lucca and Junior
"Inessa we will take the children back with us, you stay here and look after Rafaella" Maya states
I nod in agreement and turn to the rest of the guys
"You guys should go home its so late"
"No we won't leave you here alone, Rafaella will go to see Felipe and you'll just be sat here, it not good for you ness" Layla argues
"I'm not leaving"
"I'll stay with her" David reassures
We saw our good byes and they head out of the room
"Nando..did you win" I ask with half a smile
"Ci, for Felipe" he smiles heading out the door
