"Good morning, Jaerin. It's my first time to see you smile in awhile," a student greeted Jaerin just as she stepped into the school building.
"Good morning," she smiled and walked away, greeting the other students.
The whole hallway was filled with murmurs.
"Hey, Jaerin greeted me today!"
"Really?! How lucky! I should've arrived earlier."
"Why's she suddenly smiling though? She was gloom the past few weeks."
"Not sure, but let's enjoy this moment. Come on! I wanna invite her to sit at our table for lunch!"
Nevertheless, Jaerin continued smiling and greeting students until she reached her locker, where she greeted Yerin.
"Good morning. Why the smile? Usually you'd be gloomy," Yerin said, ruffling Jaerin's hair.
"Not sure. Let's go to class. I heard that we have free period today!"
"Haha okay."
And with that, they headed to class.

As soon as Jaerin stepped out of class with Yerin by her side, her phone started to vibrate. She took it out from the pocket in her uniform and found her mother calling her. She politely excused herself and headed to one of the empty cubicles in the bathroom. She answered the call.
"Oh sweetie. Why'd it take you so long to answer my call?" Her mother asked on the other side of the line as Jaerin rolled her eyes at the comment. She soon realized that she made a pact for herself to remain happy, so she answered as politely as possible.
"I just stepped out of class when you called me. I've been meaning to call you. Did you by any chance push the date back by a week?"
"Oh no, i didn't. But i did something better. I booked a flight for you and you'll be on the flight with everyone else except for the few members of NCT. They'll be waiting for all of you to arrive and they'll show you to the mansion that i will give them the keys to. Everyone will get a copy, not to worry."
"A flight? Thank you! Taking a train would take much longer. Thanks!"
"No problem. I heard you opened an official Instagram account? Be careful on social media, okay? You don't want any controversies, especially since you're a trainee. One slip of the tongue and that might terminate your contract between the company and yourself. You've been wanting this opportunity for forever. I can't imagine you losing it."
"Yeah, i will. When do i leave?"
"On the seventeenth. Soonyoung will pick you up. Get ready to say goodbye to your friends. But it's only temporary. Don't fret about that."
