Chapter 58

Ash and Skyler went back to the dorm, and found Jacob fast asleep.

Skyler: Being with Jacky sure tired him out
Jacob: *ears twitch* Y'all so loud
Ash: How was Jacky?
Jacob: Good, her hairs full of sand though
Ash: Sand?
Jacob: Playground
Ash: Oh
Jacob: So, how was your day out? *sits up*
Skyler: Amazing!
Ash: Yeah....I guess
Jacob: Well thats good
Dad: Lets go
Jacob: When did you get in here?!
Dad: The door is...wide open
Ash: Woops *closes door*
Jacob: Anyways, why did you say lets go?
Dad: We are going back to the pack for a few weeks
Jacob: Pack? I thought we didn't have one?
Ash: Oh right..! There's something you dont know
Jacob: What?!
Dad: When we lived with our pack. You got in an accident. You thought you were very strong and decided to challenge some of the other wolves. So you were slowly losing your memory.
Ash: Then, mom wanted to move so you could be save since you were the runt
Jacob: Thanks for reminding me!
Dad: Then you recovered. But you could never remember the pack. So we never went back
Ash: We come from a very violent pack
Jacob: How come im learning about this now?!
Dad: Because we must go back now. There's problems going on, and they cant solve them
Ash: I don't wanna go
Dad: Well too bad, its urgent. We all have to go
Ash: Who am I going to leave Jacky with?
Dad: Jacky?
Ash: Oh, you haven't seen her yet. C'mon she should be awake

They went to Jacobs room and saw Jacky on the bed. Jacky crawled to the edge of the bed where Balto was and tilted her head. She grabbed his finger. Balto then felt something, he moved his hand away

Then his eyes went back to red and green. He looked at Jacky, and then she giggled

Jacob: What was that!
Dad:...Nothing, lets go
Ash: What about Jacky?
Skyler: I'll stay with her
Ash: Thanks Skyler
Dad: Lets go!

They got in the car to go to a far away forest and then walked. It was dark and you could see blood stains all over the place

Jacob: They arent gonna kill us right..?
Ash: No, since we're the alphas kids
Dad: But they will hurt you
Jacob: Greeeat, not scary at all
Dad: Stop being such a wuss. We're almost there

Then they turned into their wolf forms and ran. They saw a small pack of injured wolves. One of them approached Balto

Wolf 1: State your name and business
Dad: It's me, Balto
Wolf 1: Alpha? I didnt think you would come so soon
Dad: What happened
Wolf 1: The northern pack keeps disturbing our hunts
Dad: I though we had a truce with them
Wolf 1: Not until the teenagers went and attacked the younger wolves over there
Dad: Get our best wolves, they ruin our hunts...we ruin theirs
Wolf 1: Yes Alpha
Dad: You guys go do something or whatever, I dont care
Jacob: Why did we come then?
Dad: Because Ash is strong and I might need her
Ash: Then why is Jacob here?
Dad: His power, now don't disturb me

Ash: Sooo what do we do?
Jacob: I dont know
Ash: Lets just go explore

They started walking around and saw a group of wolves huddled up

Ash: Lets check it out. Go into your form
Jacob: B-But..
Ash: Just do it. *turns into a wolf*
Jacob: okay... *turns into a pup*

They got closer and closer. They were able to see a little puppy on the ground. One of the wolves with a light blue streak in his fur started talking

???: This is what you get for stepping into our territory little pup!
Puppy: But this is everyone's territory
???: NO ITS NOT

He clawed the poor puppy and started bleeding

???: Great, theres blood on my paw now

Jacob: I cant let this happen
Ash: Jacob dont do it..
Jacob: I have to Ash

Jacob ran into the middle and stepped in front of the bleeding puppy

Jacob: Leave him alone!
???: Oh look, another one..Step aside unless you wanna get hurt!
Jacob: *eyes turn red* No! You cant hurt him!
???: You must be a hybrid. Move little kid

Jacob turned back to normal and stood tall

Jacob: You cant hurt him
???: Well well well, long time no see...Aaron..
Jacob: ( Aaron? ) My name isnt Aaron. You must be thinking of someone else
???: C'mon Aaron its me mark. Why are you protecting this little pup
Ash: (not him...)
Mark: Hes weak, its survival of the fittest *turns back to normal*

Mark was a bit shorter than Jacob. He has black hair and was wearing a leather jacket with jeans and combat boots

Jacob: We were all pups once
Mark: But it looks like you're still one. By the way, I heard what happened to your mother years ago...I would have enjoyed...seeing the cold dead look on her face

Jacob started approaching him, but Ash stepped in front of him

Ash: Hes only doing this to bother you....dont listen to him
Mark: Oh look...My beautiful Ash. How have you been babe?
Ash: Im not your babe!
Mark: I can see you're no longer your emo self anymore
Ash: I can say the same to you
Mark: You look so beautiful with those nice....tight short.. *licks bottom lip*
Jacob: *growls*
Ash: Stop it Mark!
Mark: Cant I admire you?
Jacob: No you cant! Thats disrespect! She also has a daughter!
Ash: Stop telling him things Jacob!!
Mark: Oh *chuckles* So you're cheating on me?!
Ash: We were finished years ago! I told you not to hurt him and yet you still did!
Jacob: Huh?!
Mark: Whatever. Oh and Aaron- I mean "Jacob". You havent changed a bit. You're still the same weak pup I destroyed years ago. And I enjoyed every moment of your suffering

Mark and the other wolves started walking away. Her eyes then turned orange and she ran quickly towards Mark and grabbed him by the neck

Ash: DONT MESS WITH MY BROTHER AGAIN YOU HEAR ME!
Mark: Vampire I see...I guess you had a child with a vampire. I expected a nice buff werewolf like me
Ash: Never in a million years! *lets go of him* Dont bother us again!
Mark: No promises. Love you

Jacob: Hey, you ok
Pup: P-Please dont hurt me..
Jacob: Don't worry I won't..Whats your name?
Pup: Jake..
Jacob: Jake...cool name
Jake: *turns to normal* Thank you for helping me
Jacob: Can I see your cut?

Jake lifted up his shirt, there were three large bleeding claw marks

Jacob: Does it hurt?
Jake: A lot
Jacob: ASH
Ash: Yeah
Jacob: Look
Ash: Ok, that doesn't look so bad. It just needs to be cleaned and wrapped. Good thing I brought my med kit in my back pack

She took out her supplies and started dealing with Jakes wounds

Jake: Thank you. Ive never met nice wolves like you guys
Jacob: No problem

Then, they heard a woman crying out Jakes name. They heard it louder until they saw the lady.

Jake: Mom im right here!

The lady then ran and hugged Jake

???: Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!
Jake: Im fine..thanks to them

She turned and looked at them. Her face was in shock

Jacob: Nice to meet you ma'am, Im Jacob
Ash: Im Ash
???: ( I-It cant be...) Hello, my name is....Christa
Ash: Well Christa your son is fine. He just needs a bit of rest and time to heal
Christa: Thank you for helping him...
Jacob: You know...you remind me of my mom. She was always over protective
Christa: And what happened to her..
Jacob: She died when we were young.
Christa:...Im sorry..
Jacob: Its fine
Jake: How are you so strong?! I though you were a kid at first
Jacob: Well, my mother told me to stay strong. So I did what she told me.
Jake: I wanna be just like you!
Jacob: *laughs* Im not sure about that.
Ash: Yeah, this dude is an idiot
Jacob: Heeey
Ash: Its true
Christa: (Is this really true)
Ash: Well we have to get going. See you around
Jacob: Bye! Oh, when you need help Jake, just howl and i'll come running
Jake: Thank you!

Jake: Is that him mom?
Christa: Yes it is....I want you to stay away from trouble...and Balto..
Jake: But he's the alpha..
Christa: I know....but hes trouble..promise me
Jake: Ok mom
Christa: Now come on, you need rest
