Me and Shawn make our way across the school to Gym B where weight training was. As I got closer I started to sense more and more wolves.

"Ruby, we must be careful I sense many wolves near this area, and I'm hoping they are friendly."

"I know Shawn, I can sense them too."

Rose and Marco were waiting outside the Gym. Marco seemed a little tense and Rose was giggled to herself.

"Whats funny?

"Oh nothing. Hes just being protective over one of the only wolf only classes."

"What? They have one of those?"

"Well, duh. Couldn't you tell. Everyone that's walked this was and has gone into this class has been a wolf. I guess it's a security thing. They put all wolves in a gym class to help keep them calmer."

"Makes sense I guess. But why weight training?"

As we all walked in we quickly realized why. Weight Training was just the cover. They had all kinds of training here. It was basically a wolf boot camp. Learning to fist fight and handle small amounts of pain. Control your wolf through pure torture. They had all kinds of things here, probably at my dads request.

"Damn" Rose mumbled as we walked in. " Guess this would be a wolf work out huh."

"You guys look new. Hi, I'm Violet. I'm also a freshman but I've been in the area for a few years, and your faces definitely look new. Just move this way?"

"No, actually we've lived here our whole lives, just this is the first year in school Been home schooled all the rest."

"Wow, you're lucky. I would love to be home schooled. No hiding around the humans."

"It's not as fun as you think." I said with a chuckle. This class would be easy to fit into. Rose was even already making friends and I was getting along nicely. There were only freshman in this class which meant they were all around my own age and they were also all wolves. All these people were probably wolves from wither our pack or neighboring ones that dad helps keep control of. I could probably find a few who I could get along with. But for now I'll keep to myself, just learn the friend groups and see where I'd fit in best. Today was simple in weight training, we just did some laps and push ups. Nothing to hard just a calm day. Now it's lunch time! My favorite part of today so far! The FOOD!!

"Rose, c'mon! It's time for lunch!"

"You only think with your stomach" she said while laughing as I pulled her along. Marco and Shawn ran after us both laughing as well, probably because she was right. I always think with my stomach. Food was always a golden ticket to fun, I loved food because it helped me think and keep my calm. Food was a get away from thinking.

We ran into the lunchroom and there was like a hundred people in each line! How was I ever going to get food with all these people. My wolf growled from inside me and Rose quickly pulled me aside.

"Ruby! Gain some control! It's just food and most of them are humans. You can't go in there angry at them and wanting to hurt them because they want to eat too." She said with a small laugh.

She was right I needed to control my hunger. These humans were just here to eat, just like I was and I had no right to be mad that they were hungry. Ignoring all them, I still needed to get in a line and get some food.

"You're right. So, what are we getting? What do they even have?"

"Looks like they have pizza, nachos, tacos, subs, soups, and maybe a few other things. Which do you want?"

"Hmm, what about tacos?"

"Sounds good! Let's go! Oh, Marco, Shawn, you ok with tacos?"

"Sounds good to me"

"Me too."

We all went and got in line, and once we had our tacos, which seemed like forever in that line, we went and sat down. My first day in school wasn't going that bad, but I was still nervous for it all. What if I never was able to make other friends or if I never got over this fear of being in front of other people? This was a new challenge and I didn't know how I would handle it. But I would make it through, I was strong and I would fight.

"Ruby? Lunch is over. Are you ok?" Rose was staring at me as if I was a totally different person.

"Yeah sorry I just zoned out a little. Let's go."

We got up and left the lunch room, my mind still buzzing with thoughts, but I didn't have time for any of that. I had to get to biology which was only a short walk from the cafeteria. Me and Shawn walked slowly and quietly. My mind was still thinking of all these bad things that could happen, but I pushed those thought away. I was strong and would figure it all out.

"Ruby, you ok?" Shawn said as he stopped me just outside the classroom.

"Yeah, sorta? Just a lot on my mind. Things are going up and down. I'm getting new fears in my head and trying to cope with them. It's hard but manageable."

"I'm here if you need to talk"

"Thank you Shawn, but I don't think I'll bed talking to you about all this any time soon."

I walked away from him and made my way into the classroom. I took a seat in the corner, and Shawn sat down next to me. Class went by really fast and like every other today, we got a book and some papers explaining the class. For this class we had another special paper, one about the possible things would be dealing with since it was a science class. Again, I carried these things to my next class, my mind was still not itself. I went to my next class, photography. I was really looking for this class.
