There's swearing. Thought I would try to make it funny (I know it will be bad attempts at humour but just pretend it's funny and laugh) because my stories prior to this have been really dark. The genre is Mystery although it isn't really a mystery (i'll write another one that's actually mystery after, I just need to lighten the mood). It's gonna be random.

So many different myths and legends happen in and around the Coliseum. Ghosts of the gladiators haunt the place and (insert traditional food) is served. Although Jasmine (call her Jassy because Jasmine as reserved for only when she's getting in trouble from her parents) and Xavier were fully aware of this they decided (pretty much quoted) 'fuck this, we're going anyway'.

They had been friends since kindergarten (strictly friends) and for their first holiday together as adults they thought 'where a better place to visit than the city of echoes.'

As Jassy and Xavier casually strolled through the crowded streets of Rome laughing about that time Xavier got stuck in a toilet cubicle and got so bored that he started talking to the graffiti on the walls of the cubicle (definitely not from any personal experiences, hehe). I'm sure you can tell that their friendship isn't like normal peoples.

"And... And remember when you screamed because you thought the dick drawing spoke back!?" Said Jassy through laughs, doubling over with her arms around her stomach.

"Hey, I thought it said there is something in the toilet." Xavier laughed along with her.

As they round a bend in the street they finally reach the Coliseum, there are only a few tourists there which is weird as there are normally throngs of people visiting the historical site. They missed the first warning.

"Oooohhh can we walk through the main fighting arena first so we can take photos of us pretend fighting?" Xavier asked after they glanced at the map of the place.

"Sure, can we use your phone? Mine ran out of charge." Jassy lied, she just couldn't be bothered to get it out of her bag. So much work and energy wasted.

"Kay."

Walking under the columns and fossilised seats the Coliseum held, they finally reach the middle. They posed for their picture - Jassy pulled her signature duck-face and Xavier his flat-nose, cross eyes. They were about to send their photo to parents when Jassy realised a pearly figure over their shoulder in the picture.

"What's that?" She asked Xavier while pointing to it on the flat screen.

"I don't know... " They looked around, according to the photo, where the ghost should be.

"That's weird, maybe it's a smudge mark on your camera?" Jassy snatched the phone from him and rubbed her sleeve against the camera lens.

"What's that then... " Xavier whisper yells before Jassy can look up in time.

There was mist in the rough shape of a gladiator (with the armour and everything) running towards them, the closer he got to them the clearer he got. He was holding a shield and trident, with a red and gold galea helm hat thingy on top of his curly locks.

Now that they looked around there were so many different looking ghosts - some had dark skin, some had ankle length poofy dresses and corsets on, some only wearing a loincloth (thankfully). Needless to say, it was like ghosts from all around the world and from different eras in time have come here for a holiday or gathering.

Snapping back to reality, let's focus on the armed ghost charging towards them. Splattered with blood, he didn't look like the nicest to have a rational conversation with.

"Are you seeing this?"Jassy whispered into Xavier's ear.

"Yes," Xavier whispers back, neither of them taking their eyes off the advancing figure.

"Um... We come in peace?" Jassy tries to tell the passed gladiator but he doesn't stop sprinting.

"Please excuse Crixus over here, he needs anger management." A posh butler looking man pushes Crixus aside then turns to face Jassy and Xavier. He sees their shocked and surprised yet amused expressions.

"He can't hurt you." The butler man adds.

"I'm restricted to only a few sentences a month to communicate with the living. Usually, I would spend it on my family but seeing as you have volunteered to fight I may as well tell you. The only words I'm going to say are... ready for it... the ducks are coming." He concludes with his thick British accent clearly audible.

"What." Says Jassy

"The." Says Xavier

"Actual." Says Jassy.

"Fuck." Says Xavier.

They look at each other like a posh ghost just said 'the ducks are coming', oh wait. That did happen.

Just before the posh lady-man-sir evaporated into nothing he pointed towards the main entry/exit. This is going to sound like I'm high or something, but blocking the exit there were ducks... covered in pillows... pointing icicles at the best friends.

Amongst all the ducks a huge, fat chicken made his or her way towards them. Pushing any duck that was in the way by the head, making them fall onto the floor.

"I'm not interested in 'treaties'. I will kill you if you don't bring me the ghosts." The chicken threatens menacingly.

"Sure. An obese chicken with, say, 15 (and I'm being generous) dumb ducks are going to kill us." Xavier sassed raising his eyebrows.

"Everything here can kill you, but I can do it the most efficiently." Mister chicken stated like it was obvious.

"Well... that wall couldn't kill me, mister chicken Dicken." Jassy challenged.

"I could throw you into it, happily." Mister chicken Dicken added.

"What about that speck on dirt on my phone."

"You got me there. Now let's get to the point and kill you. DUCKS CHARGE. Kill them if they get in the way." Mister chicken Dicken ordered.

To use the common phrase, 'shit went down'.

Sorry that it took a long time to update, I was reading Harry Potter (finished the whole series now) and other books on Wattpad (like 5 different books). I'll try to upload more often but I can't promise anything :) Hope you enjoyed and comment your favourite... song - Mine's probably (it changes every day or so) 'Myself' by Bazzi.
