I awoke on my desk the following morning, i must've slept at the office overnight because when i lifted my head up from the flat desk, i was drooling. I looked at my desk clock to see the time and it's an hour before i actually start work, at least i'm on time today.
I stood from my chair and did some stretches because my whole body was sore from the way i was sitting and typing, my fingers are still numb. I pull a mirror from my desk drawer, i look like a cow. Thank god that i keep an extra pair of clothes in my desk, just in case of an emergencies. I think this counts as one.
I grabbed my clothes, my purse and started to head to the bathrooms down the hall, the office i work in is really nice, almost fancy but not millionaire fancy. I wobble down the hall in my heels i was wearing the day before and just like that when i wasn't paying attention i rolled my ankle on complete nothing. God..D.. That hurt, i stop in the middle of the hall and take off my heels. I continue down the hall and turn the corner when i bump into someone, dropping all my things. We both bent over and bumped our heads.
"Ow" i say, bending over to grab my things. I then assemble myself and look up, "Sutton?"
This cannot be happening, i look like complete shit and the one guy that i care about seeing me like this is the one standing right in front of me.
"Ana? I almost didn't recognize you." he says.
"Yea, is it because i look like i just woke up," i say looking down at my toes.
"Actually no, your usually a couple inches taller and that too," he laughs.
"What are you doing here so early," i say trying to change the subject.
"I work this early, in fact i'm going to be late so i'll catch you later?"
"Sure," i say as he's already walking away in the opposite direction, "Um, Sutton?"
He turns around, "yea."
"It's the other way," i laugh looking at him walk past me again.
"Right!"
After that i finally walk into the woman's restroom and find myself a stall. I quickly undress myself and put on some quick foundation i pulled out of my purse. I look into the bathroom mirror to see if i missed any spots on my face until my nose started to bleed. What the hell, i thought to myself. I reach over to the tissues and pulled some from the dispenser. I wipe off the blood with the tissue and sniffle to make sure no more decides to come out. I waited a few moments just to make sure, i grabbed my foundation back in my hand and touch up around my nose and left the bathroom.
I sat down at my desk at the exact same time i'm supposed to start work. For most of the day Heather bossed me around to finish the Interview on Kipton Mills and mentioned to me that on Monday i'm supposed to interview another celebrity. She didn't mention anything on my other assignment but she said i have two months to write it so i have plenty of time.
When i was walking out of work, Sutton called me and asked if i wanted to go for a drink. He said to bring a friend because his wanted to tag along. So i called my best friend, Cassandra Knox.
She doesn't let anyone call her Cassandra, she goes by Cassie. I like Cassie better anyway, it suits her. She doesn't exactly have a full time job, she picks up part times. I tell her that it's necessary to have one stable job but she wouldn't listen to me if my head was on fire. I even give her job applications, you'd think she would listen since i've known her since middle school but i try not to pry.She finally picks up the phone after i called her about six times,
"Hello, Cassie speaking?"
"Hey it's Ana" i say, walking across my buildings parking lot.
"Long time no talk! How are you?"
"I'm doing alright, i have a date tonight" i say switching lanes on the freeway.
"Ohhh, who's this man?"
"It's not like that, he's bringing a friend tonight and he want me to bring one-"
"Ooo girl i am in, what time should i be at your apartment," she says happily.
"In an hour, the actually date starts at eight."
"Oh honey, i'm on my way right now if that date starts in two hours!" she says.
"Why right now? We have so much time to get ready, even then, i'm pulling into my parking lot right now."
"Sometimes enough time isn't enough time! I'll be there in five," she says hanging up the phone.
