We Found Love in A Hopeless Place

Chapter 6

We returned back to the filming site, where are respective groups waited for us. I knew they saw us walking together that once I’ll make it to my group, there would be millions of questions awaiting me but I couldn’t even focus on that right now. My mind was too preoccupied with what just transpired between Zayn and I. I couldn’t believe that we actually had somewhat of a real conversation.

He seemed genuinely kind. I mean, we’ve met before in the past during X-Factor but it was always with someone else. When we spoke & he always seemed to be speaking to someone other than me but this was actually me & him one on one and he seemed really cool but that moment was short lived when he brought up Siope.

That I realized that him being nice was just his way of trying to be comfortable around me since we were gonna be a “couple” soon. The reality of it all came crashing down quickly. The break up, the publicity stunt; everything.  That all I wanted to do was just head back to my group.

As we both reached our chairs, I saw his group’s members rushed him. They clearly were into gossip just as much as my girls were, speaking on cue. Normani was the first to reach me & started the round 2 of questions.

“What were you two doing walking back together?” she asked

“Nothing. We just bumped into each other & that’s it”

“Yeah right, Dinah” She said not believing me.

“It’s true.” I replied back, trying to defend my honor.

“Did you guys talk?” Camila asked.

“Yeah”

“What did you two talk about?” Ally asked.

“Nothing really. Just small talk that’s it. I swear”

“That’s it?” asked Lauren.

“Yep, pretty much”

“BOOOO!” Camila screamed out randomly “I expected more” she quietly said. Before, I can say anything back the director called us all over again to discuss the next scenes to be filmed.

“Okay, so the next scene is gonna be a fun scene with both groups. We rented out these dirt bikes & each couple is gonna race each other basically while the other ones stand to the side & cheer.”

We all turned and staff members came driving onto the beach with these two dirt bikes for our race scene. I was so excited to get a chance to drive one of them until the director said that the boys would be driving while the girls will hold on to them since majority of us didn’t have a license. It was such a buzz kill. The first couples up were L&L (my nick name for Lauren & Liam) they were going up against our oldest couple; Ally & Louis.  Liam looked a little too excited to have Lauren’s arms wrapped around him; Lauren on the other hand was her normal cool calm collective self.  Ally & Louis looked off beat with one another, they honestly didn’t seem to match well but Ally being the nice & sincere person that she is kept it professional and didn’t want to attract to match attention.

The rest of us gathered around to the opposite side of the camera so that we were in position. We were to cheer the two couples as they raced. The director yelled at all of us to get ready they were gonna start filming soon. We heard action & we all fell right into character. Normani was yelled start & the two couples took off down the beach in their dirt bike. The rest of us were laughing & cheering. I was really laughing when I saw the look Lauren’s face with Liam gunned it. She was taken by surprise & held on tight to Liam leaving him with a huge smile on his face. L&L won the 1st race. Next up were N&N vs Camarry. Zayn & I were last. Harry & Camila quickly won the second race because Niall had trouble trying to start the bike which resulted in Normani frantically waving at him to hurry up which the director decided to keep filming & not to cut it out.  Niall and Normani were the funniest.
