Chapter 2-

Ravan pov

Ever since Ronny told Lay about Mai having a past she's been looking the girl up asking around going to her hang out spots we found out some good stuff and some bad stuff.

~flashback~

"girl what the freak are we doing here?" I ask

"sis you know what we came her for to get answers"

"but let's just wait till Ronny tells you"

Even though me and her both know he ain't and that's why I really want to know even though it's not my business

"ha over my dead body" she says laughing

"ugh shut up let's go" I took this crazy girl hand and start walking

We walk up to this group home that Mai use to live in I was so surprised to find out that both her parents were dead

I can't help but wonder what if Ronny know what happen I mean maybe he killed them but nahh they've been dead for years and Ronny was too young what if that's he's sister nahh they had sex ....mabye I don't know never mind we just gonna have to find out.

We walked into the group home and saw kids of all ages running around

I looked at Laila and she's going kid crazy unlike me this woman loved kids I think there devil's I would know cause I was once one

"aww poor kids they have no family" she said bending down picking up a little girl around two

oh no she's finna adopt a kid that's when it hit me

"Ronny family may have adopted Mai" I say out loud

"I don't think so Ronny parents are dead two " she said rocking the little girl

yep she's attached I'm not even gonna stop her

"hello here to adopt"the lady at the desk ask looking at the little girl Lay holding

"yes and we have some questions" I say

"okay go all the way to the back" she says pointing a the only door in the back we said are thank you and went on our way

I knock on the door and the guy ask for us to come in

"hello ladies you wanna adopt her" he says looking us up in down

"no not her just me" Lay says kissing the little girl cheek

"we do have questions about this kid that use to live here and we'll pay for it" I say pulling out the stack of money

"deal what's her name"

"Mai potts" I say

" gottcha I'ma print out everything we got on her" he says smiling

After he give me the papers I put it in a folder and put it in my book bag and I gave him the stack then lay worked on the paperwork to get the little girl lay call's her ladybug I like that name it fits her well.

We leave two hours later with ladybug and I drop her off I keep the papers I told her we can read it in the morning she has kids now she just laughed I was dead ass though

~flashback end~

I've been waiting on this girl for hours I don't want to read the papers at Ronny house just in case he comes home

Laila walks out the house with ladybug and a car seat in her hands and lock the house door wow lady bug looks nice she looks clean now her hair is done in pigtails with big bows and ribbons at the end she had a lady bug outfit on..... you cant even tell she lived in a group home.

Laila gonna spoil the child

Laila open the door and put lady bug in my hand

"hey lady bug"

"hello" she said waving her small hand

"okay come here lady bug" Lay says

"okay mommy" she reached out for Lay

okay I know Lady b isn't Laila real baby but i know she feels a connection with lil b the same goes for lady b

it wasn't a long ride to my house I sit lady b on my couch and put on PBS kids

"mommy gonna be upstairs okay" Lay says to lady b she didn't even respond she was so into the word girl ...kids

"kids ....isn't she cute I have paperwork on her we can look at hers after Mai Kay" she says I just nod my head we're finna find out some of Mai past

I took out her folder me and Lay read the first paragraph and our mouths dropped
