Chapter 5: what is this feeling

I am now staying at Danny's place I can't stand living with my family. They won't let me be me. Danny's family was out of town so it was just me and Danny in the house. It's around 3 am and me and Danny were just sitting on the couch watching tv.

We sat in silent trying to hold back my tears. Danny put his arm around then I felt a spark and my heart skipping beats, feeling my face warm and red. What are these feelings I don't know what to do!

"So want to get some sleep? It's getting late...." Danny said I nodded and he led me his bedroom.

"You can sleep in my room and I'll take the couch if you need anything just wake me up." I nodded and put on my pj which is a small little nightgown. His bed is so comfy better than my bed. But something feels missing I start having anxiety attack. I went to see Danny on the couch sound asleep. I smiled and my heart started to go fast.

He moved in his sleep and smiled. For some reason I want to kiss him I don't know why. My heart kept beating fast when my face gotten closer to his face right when I was about to kiss him I heard a honk outside and Danny bump his head onto mine and it hurt

"Cass are you ok?"

"Yea sorry I was uh seeing if you're still alive!" Smooth Cass smooth. Danny went to the window and see the rest of the T-birds

"Hey yo Danny wake your ass up! We goin to Frenchy's place!" Sonny said

"Hold on lemme get dress!" We both got dress and the boys were surprise they see me at his house and wink at Danny.

"Guys nothing happen, Cass ran away from home." Everyone was shocked especially Kenickie. "But Cass you're my next door neighbor why you have to leave me like that. Or why didn't you head to my house?"

"Kenick you weren't home and my parents got mad because I was hanging out with Danny and ban me from hanging out with you guys!"

Kenickie put his head down and nodded. "Let's head to French's Place I heard all the girls are there having a sleep over." I groan I really don't want to see the girls especially Rizzo. We head over there and heard the girls giggling. "Sandy oh sweet Sandy!" Putzie yelled and smack the back of his head "shut up Putz!" Doody said

Then we see Rizzo climbing down the gutter. I realize she doesn't see me yet, I quickly hide between the seats "Cass what are you doing? Danny said laughing a bit. I shush Danny. I hear Rizzo and Kenickie talking

"Surprise!!!" I yelled out and Rizzo screamed and fell down on her ass. All the guys bursted out laughing and the girls saw through the window and got worried.

"What the actual hell Cass! I could have died!" Rizzo is being so dramatic. I start laughing more "why are you here anyway?"

"Did you already forgot I'm a T-bird?" I said proudly and the guys cheered. Rizzo pouted "Kenickie kick her out I don't want her in the car." Rizzo said "alright everyone out of the car!" Kenickie said.

"Kenickie you can't be serious? I'm your friend!" He look at me and didn't say anything. "Fine hope you have fun with a girl that has a different baby daddy you jerk!" I threw my drink at his face.

Danny stayed to talk to Sandy so me, Putzie, Doody and Sonny went to the lake.

The sun is almost up and I'm skipping rocks with the guys. "So Cass you have any eyes on guys at the school yet?" Sonny said

"Maybe...." I smiled and they all oooo at me "tell us!" The boys said I cave in and we all sat down on the ground "you guys promise not to tell anyone???" They all nodded "we all promise!" We did a quadruple pinky promise. I sighed and got all nervous

"Hey Cass you don't have to tell us." Putzie said but the guys shush him. I took a deep breath "I think I have a crush on Danny..." they all gasps "I KNEW IT!" Moody said cheerfully! "How do you know you like him cass?" Sonny said. I shrug my shoulders "well every time I see him my heart skips a beat and can barely talk....but I think he loves Sandy not me. He rather have a prep than a rebel." I said sadly and threw a rock at the lake.

"Cassy, danny does like you he just doesn't know it yet!" Putzie said "how about going to the dance that's coming with him that would be awesome!" Sonny said "that's perfect Sonny!" We all laugh and thinking about the dance that's coming up

The boys were thinking to moon the cameras during the dance "if you guys do that I will pay all your milkshakes for a month!" I said while laughing. "Cassy you got yourself a deal!" Doody said and we all put our hands together.

I decided to go back home trough the window since Danny is not home yet I went to my room and went to bed thinking of how to ask Danny to the dance!
