I was staring at the ceiling above my bed. River was laying beside me and was sleeping.

For some reason I couldn't sleep at all. I've been tossing and turning for more than two hours now and it's 4 am.

I don't want to get out of bed yet because I'll be bored without River and I'll just be walking around the house, doing nothing.

I turned to my side and admired River. I smiled to myself and softly tapped River's shoulder.

She slowly opened her eyes and frowned, groaning. "Why are you waking me up at.." she looked at the time. "4 am, Lyndsey?"

I smiled. "I can't sleep and I'm bored."

River rolled her eyes. "What do you want to do than?"

"I don't know." I thought for a second. "I want someone to eat cereal with."

River laughed. "Why are you going to eat cereal in the middle of the night?"

I put my hand on her cheek and softly traced circles with my thumb.

"I just wanted a reason to be with you, is all."
