"Bucky that place is going to blow any second you need to get out of there!" Steve yelled into the mic informing Bucky through the ear piece he was wearing. Bucky picked up his speed making his way towards the doors to get out of there. Honestly he couldn't remember if this was supposed to be a simple mission or what but for some reason it suddenly got twenty million times harder. His head turned to look behind him as an explosion went off.

"Hurry up [Y/n]! We need to get out of here!" he yelled at you a feet behind him. His feet never stopped moving just as you continued trying to catch up. The closer he got to the door the slower you appeared to be going and the more explosions erupted at a time. The more he thought about it, he wondered when you even got there.

Normally you never went on missions with him, let alone anyone. A lot of the time you were just the one who would get intel on people just before anyone would go and make them disappear if they appeared to be a threat. Sure there were times where you were compromised and fought your way out of it but this was different this wasn't anything like those types of missions.

Just as he got to the door he turned around to see where you were. The moment his eyes landed on you something like a rocket flew up from the floors beneath the both of you and popped two of the grates right off causing the platforms you were running on to become unstable. Sliding to a stop look around for some other escape. "Bucky!" you breath out feeling your heart pounding hard in your chest. The jump was too far to make for you and there was no way to go except back, which meant no way out.

"[Y/n]" his eyes scanned the area before him trying to find a way to get you to him. Not trying, wishing for another way to appear to allow you to reach safety. He licked his lips getting as close to the edge as possible. "Jump! I'll catch you, just jump." His eyes pleaded with your to do as he said. There shouldn't have been any hesitation with how often you two trained with one another, Bucky would never let you fall regardless of who won or not. If you tripped on anything when he was around he'd make sure to stabilize you and see if you were okay. If you got knocked out he'd take care of whoever knocked you out before finishing his own fight and get you to safety as soon as he could even if it meant that he'd abandon his own mission. Any fight he'd take your side on, even if you were wrong. He always had your back and you knew that, so why were you hesitating?

Just as you got on your feet and took a step back to try and get a running start it seemed another explosion sounded just before it look out the grate behind where you were. "Bucky?" You say looking back at him away from where the metal was giving way. The second lasted for what seemed like eternity as you fell right before his eyes.

"No!" he yelled at the top of his lungs trying to grab you despite being too far to do anything. His blue eyes watched you fall to your death just before another blast sent him flying back into the door.

The moment his back hit the door his body rose straight up off the bed. His heart pounding wildly in his chest threatening to escape at any second. His body drenched in cold sweat and his eyes wide staring at the foot of the bed with tears spilling down his cheeks. As he went through his thoughts he tried to think about what actually happened and where he was, how he got there, and if he truly had lost you the way he saw.

He inhaled deeply and right afterwards exhaled the same air trying to collect all this information only to be unsuccessful. A faint knock made it's ways to his ears before the door opened. "Buck."

His head turned to looked at the fully opened door. "Steve." he started shifting on the bed throwing his legs over the side and sitting up straight.
