Tommy's POV

"So what do we do now? " Jon asked. "Who knows. "
"Also where is Nick? " I gave him a small shrug. We went in for breakfast and came out to see Nick. Cory was dragging Uni with him from behind Nick. Jon calmed down. "There you are! We were getting worried. "
"Yeah. Is everything okay? " I asked. "Everything in fine. "
"Well what about Ashlie? " Uni asked Nick. I can easily see that he is as worried as Jon. "Oh she's fine. She was going to come with me but, she needed to get treated and know she is in bed for the day. "
"That's good to hear. " Cory added in. Uni nodded to Nick's response. The day went by and we talked and ran outside.

"Oh. We should be getting back. "
"Right now? " Jon asked. He was a little upset about this. "Yea. Uni's parents are probably looking for us. " Cory scratched his neck. "What about you Nick? " I asked him. "I should be getting back to Dawn and Ashlie. I feel like something urgent is going to happen soon. "
"Well if you all really need to. " We all got into a group hug and split off for the night.

Nick's POV

I got home to find Dawn in a panic. "Oh thank goodness your back! " He come over to me and walked me into my room. "Did something happen? "
"Well something is about to happen unless we do this. "
"Do what? "
"Nick to you realize how long your dad has been gone? "
"It has been awhile. " I stood in thought. Dawn walked up to the bed and sat down next to Ashlie, who is still sleeping. A vision came to me. It was my dad. He's walking back to the town. I quickly snapped out of the vision and saw Dawn give me a worried look. "He's coming here. "
"I'm so sorry about this Nick. I hope that you can forgive me. "
"For what? " He picked up Ashlie and carried her in his arms off of the bed. "What are you- "
"I'm. Nick, your dad had her down their. Why I don't know but it is obvious that she can't be seen here. "
"So your taking her back down to the cage?! "
"No. She isn't staying here any longer. I don't know what your father thought he was doing by keeping her down their but she has seen near death experiences. Being here isn't right for her. "
"Why... " I got sad. I'm confused.

He gave a small, forced smile and walked out the room. I stood in silence. I stared at the floor and my eyes got heavy with tears. "Wait! " I ran out to Dawn, who was about to walk out of the house. I squeezed at his leg and kept my head down. "Nick. You stay here. You belong here with your dad and your friends. "
"But... That's my best friend that your taking away. "
"Nick. " He put his hand on my head and pulled me away. "Goodbye. Don't worry about Ashlie. I'll take good care of her. "

The door closed in my face. I don't know where I belong. Where do I go. I never gave it any thought but my dad's role among the people is keeping me here. I'm his son. But, I... Don't want the life he has made for me. I opened the door. I gave no effort to grabbing the handle. I took it with my hands shaking. "Dawn! I want to go... with... " He was gone. I grabbed my coat from inside and ran out into town. Before I could reach the woods or even the end of town, my dad walked into town. "What do I do... " I looked everyone and ran for Jon and Tommy's place. "Jon! Tommy! "
"Nick? " Jon looked out the window and rushed out when he saw me. "Tommy! Get out here! " He yelled into the house. "I'm here. I'm here. What's up? "
"Come out here. It's Nick. " Tommy came out and closed the door most of the way. "What happened Nick? " Jon asked me. He was clearly worried. "Well... Umm... " My face got red as tears began to stream down my face. "Nick... "
"Did something happen to Ashlie? " Tommy got right into the questions. "Actually... You could say that. " They looked at me waiting for a response. "Dawn said to me that Ashlie can't stay here... And so... He picked her up and left. "
"Your house? " They asked. " Yes. They are probably gone from town. "
"Huh! Oh Nick... " Jon came up and gave me a comforting hug. Tommy closed the door and joined us. "Should we get Cory and Uni? " Jon asked Tommy. He shook his head. "Alright. Nick, we're getting Cory and Uni. We can talk about this. "
"Okay. "

They took me out to Uni and Cory. We told them all about how Dawn took Ashlie. They gave me hugs and Uni got panicked. "So what are we going to do? " Cory asked me. "Well, I'm going to find them and go with them. "
"What about your dad? " Tommy asked. "I don't know. But he is the one who kept her down in that cage. Even if he did find her, he did nothing to help her. "
"So... Is this goodbye? " Jon asked on the break of tears. "I guess. " I turned around a was walked off when... "I'm going with you! " Jon grabbed my shoulder and Uni nodded his head. I looked at the rest of them. They turned to each other and nodded. "We're coming to! " Cory and Tommy added. "What about your parents? "
"We'll being saying goodbye to them instead. " Cory added. Cory must be use to it since his parents left him all the time ago. "I'm going to my place to get ready. "
"So are we going now? " Tommy asked us. "No. Nick's father just got back so it won't work. Not right now at least. " Uni put in. "So it has to be tonight. "
"Are you sure you want to do this? " Jon asked me. "Yes! I don't want to be the head of this town. I want to be my own person. Which means that I don't belong here. " They all gave me different looks. Cory gave me a small smile saying that he was in this with me. Uni gave me a concerned look that also showed as much confidence as he could. Jon had a bright smile and is recovering from crying. Tommy had the same old smiley face mask on so I don't know about him. We hugged again and went back to our soon to be old homes. Tonight... We leave to find Dawn...

I got home to my dad sitting in the kitchen. He was eating and getting ready for bed. He has to get up early each day. At least we know that we can leave without him seeing. I stood outside for awhile looking up at the stars. The same as the night when Ashlie was crying up at them. "We'll be back soon Ashlie. I'm not giving up on my best friend... "

Another late night post cause I decide to write and get too much into it. I have nothing to say. So... Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Also I know it's a shipping fanfic so that stuff will come in time. Right now they are kids and they will go to find Ashlie and then they should be together once the time comes. I just love writing long stories. XD Later everyone!
