When Night met Day

In the beginning, the world was only covered in darkness no light shone. The being named Night was the only thing that walked the deserted plane called earth. Though right now it's just a huge wasteland. Only rock and rubble covered its surface. Night didn't know her reason for being there she was just there and she just existed. Walking around aimlessly with no reason of why she was there in this foreign place. She often looked at the stars at how so beautiful they shone down on the world. It was always dark there so she could always look up and see the stars and the moon looking down at her. 

Night soon thought about using the opening in her face to create a sound as she tried to form words with it. Soon she was able to sing toons, they were the most astonishing thing to hear when she sang her heart out. As it was lovely it was also sad and depressing as she sang of loneliness. She never knew the reason for the emptiness that grew inside her or how to make it stop she could only walk on as it grew. Not being able to take the strange emotion pain anymore this is when Night learned of the emotion sadness as she finally broke down into tears. The sounds she made were not beautiful as she screamed with pain in her voice. Chocking on the tears that fell to the ground below her trembling body. Night couldn't stop the tears or her screams as they got louder.  There was no one to hear her except the emptiness and that made her scream more.

She soon stopped crying and just crawled into a ball on the ground-hugging herself as she just now whimpered her throat too sore to make a sound anymore. Eventually, she rolled onto her back looking up at the stars reaching up one of her arms out towards the night sky. Tracing it with her hand as she slowly moved it around slightly smiling not she dropped it almost immediately. Just like that, she looked at one of the stars one that shone brighter for some strange reason as she opened her mouth trying to form the words she wanted to say.

"I wish for something more to my life something that could get rid of this pain I feel."

Nothing happened and Night just groaned like what was she expecting to happen anyway? Getting back up she started to walk away from the spot feeling depressed until she took one last look at the star only to find it falling. Confused ass she watched it fall from the sky and crash into the ground off into the distance from her.

 Without a second thought, she ran towards the now bright light on the ground but Night has never seen light before as she shielded her eyes from the blinding light. She still ran though tripping here and there but she didn't stop running. Her eyes adjusted to the light as she could now look in front of her face as she stopped. There in front of her was something that she has never seen before. It looked like her in the body way but not in features as this thing had long flowing blond hair compared to nights pitch black. It's pale skin and blue eye's had Night captured in a stare as she walked up to it. It was like her so wasn't it a she like her? 

Night watched as the figure tried to take a step forward only to trip on her own legs and falling into Night's arms. 

"Hi" was all night could say to the figure in her arms as the girl looked up at her in confusion as she placed her hand on Night's face examining it."Hi" she softly said repeating night's word in more of a question which made night laugh for the first time. This made the girl in her arms laugh as well. The girl's hand then fell to Night's lips as she traced them with her fingers with curiosity. Before Night could ask what she was doing the blond girl pressed her lips onto Nights as they both experienced a new emotion called love. 

Parting from the kiss Night realized that she didn't know the blondes name and she didn't say hers.

 "My name is night by the way what's yours?"

The blonde thought about it for a couple seconds before forming the single name

"Day."
