Anna woke up to an empty bed and clattering noise coming from the kitchen. She grabbed both her blades and silently crept through the apartment only to see Alys attempting, and failing, to make breakfast. Anna laughed and set her blades down on the table. Alys turned around and stuck her tongue out. She looked so much better than she had the day before. She looked rested and energetic and alive. She also had this sort of glow about her now as she ran around the kitchen trying to figure out how to make an egg in a pot. Anna banged her head on the wall for a moment before taking everything from Alys and telling her to sit down so that she didn't start a fire.

“ First off you don't make an egg in a pot, you make it in a pan. Second, what's the best way out of town that will minimize my being seen?” The apartment was quiet for a moment and she looked over at Alys to see if she had heard her. She was looking out the window, zoned out on something.

“ Alys,” Anna called. The girl’s head shot back to look at her before relaxing.

“ Well I was thinking what we do is we go around the back of the houses and then scale the wall on the far side of town. It brings us just outside shifter territory but far enough away that we're not disturbing border patrols,” she said as she dug into the egg that Anna had brought her.

“ We?” the fae asked. Anna was happy to have made a new friend so quickly, but she had spent the past years on her own. Rogue. She didn’t think she could handle a travel buddy.

“ Yes we. There's no way i'm letting you wander around by yourself around the country that has it out for you're kind. Plus, there's a place I wanna show you. It might help shed some light on your past,” Alys commented with her mouth full of egg. Anna narrowed her eyes a bit and turned back to the pan and made an egg for herself. That was the slightest bit suspicious.

“No,” Alys said, “I don’t plan on kidnapping you and selling your body to the highest bidder. If I did I wouldn’t have helped you kill those two yesterday. We leave in the afternoon, should give me enough time to pack for the road and get some things in order.”

“Fine,” Anna said. Seems she had little choice in the matter. She looked down at her clothes and blanched. They were torn and filthy.

“ Is there any possibility that we could go shopping and get some stuff. I only have two changes of clothes and the other ones are completely destroyed.” Alys looked up and her face lit up.

“ I love shopping. The store owners love me,” she said with a devilish smile that suggested otherwise. Anna just laughed and nodded.

They finished their breakfast, got dressed, strapped their weapons to their person and left. They went through all the stores on the main road and got shirts and pants and the store workers did indeed love Alys, so much so in fact they let them just walk out with Alys promising that she won't take their manhood. They stopped by a store and Alys got her a new jacket. It was made from fine black leather with multiple pockets to hide weapons and store things. It was almost form fitted and but gave enough leeway for Anna to move and fight while still being comfortable. They got bedding that they can easily pack up and move but is still comfortable enough to sleep on the ground at night. They also got new boots and gloves to stay warm at night without being layered so it's easy to run if they need it.

After that they went to the blacksmith to get more weapons, this time Anna got a sword that she hung at her hip with her twin blades secured on her back after having them sharpened and polished up a bit. Insisting on helping Alys and her friend further, the blacksmith gave Anna a proper sheath for her weapons to keep them in proper condition. After thanking the blacksmith and paying for their weaponry, the pair left and walked back to the apartment and began packing things and securing the apartment so that Alys may come back to a still standing house when this was over.
