After Dex woke up he ripped his restraints up and shifted. He was looking for a scent, any scent at all to help him find out where Maliki had gone but the two girls he was traveling with covered all their scents. And the girl with the blue eyes, something about her was so similar and the power and demand that flowed off of her had caused him to bow. It was just as powerful as the will of his Alpha though he'd never tell him that and make him seem less powerful than he is. She seemed so familiar like he'd seen her somewhere but he would have remembered seeing her. And not to forget her power, how she just stopped everything and held him in place when he challenged her. Even more surprising, Maliki defended her. He never would have done that for their Alpha, he would have let the Alpha get attacked but he was quick to defend the stranger.

As Dex walked back to the pack he saw that patrol was heightened at the border and when he got back they all ran around frantically like he'd been missing for years. His general came out and greeted him. They both shifted to human form as they walked inside.

"How long was I gone?" Dex asked as he saw people looking at him strangely. It was hard to not find his mother's worried eyes in the crowd, to not have her rushing forward and fussing about his lack of clothes or where his little brother was. Rage boiled in him as he thought of Maliki and what he had taken from them.

" A night but long enough to worry people with how you're brother is." Dex snarled at that statement

" I'll no sooner recognize him as my kin then i'll say my father wasn't a snake and a whore." Dex said, his General held up his hands in surrender meaning no harm in the statement.

" Speaking of, where is he?" Dex rolled his eyes and began to explain the story, conveniently leaving out the girls powers and what she did simply saying when Dex went to move her Maliki attacked because she was defending him.

" I'm going to the Alpha's Council to see if we can change the terms of my hunt. I'll bring him back, but i want permission saying i can bring back a corpse if need be." The general just nodded.

" Good luck with that, they want him here alive to stand trial for his actions." he said

" They always give him a trial and they always dismiss what he does because he has no control," Dex growled. Then he realized the only reason was because his mother would stand against the council and fight for her son.

"Regardless of the past, I don't think you'll get the outcome you want." Dex heard his general say as he walked into the council building. Despite the statement, he smiled. If he had to use the information about the girl to his advantage he wouldn't hesitate. Maliki was traveling with someone who was seemingly stronger than their Alpha and because he hasn't left the pack he has betrayed them.

Dex was certain that he would gain the Alpha's good graces. And even if he didn't, Dex would gladly become an Omega and go rogue in order to avenge his mother.
