Wades POV

"Okay. Time for work!" I say as I follow peter towards the elevator. Peter just rolls his eyes and presses the long button. We stand in silence listening to the elevator music.

———

When we get to Peters school, he seems to get more reserved. He puts his hand in his pockets and puts headphones in. He stops us right before walking past the gate. "Don't draw attention to me or yourself. I'm already weird as it is, I don't want people getting more suspicious of me." He warns. I only nod. He then walks past the school gate and onto campus. As we walk, I can see Peter slouch and put his hood up before entering the school.

Peter seems to be a complete introvert at school. The only people he talked to were people who asked him to take photos of certain things. Apparently the kids a good photographer. We stop at his locker so he can put his backpack away and grab a textbook or two. We then head to his class, but right before we can enter, he pulls me over again.

"Stay in the back, and don't make a SINGLE. sound." He orders me in a very aggressive voice. If we were in the right circumstances, it would be a real turn on. "Whatever you say, boss." I chirp. He just rolls his eyes and enters the classroom.

"Peter! you're on time for once!" the teacher says in mocking surprise. "yeah. even I'm surprised." Peter commented. the teacher put on a small smile. "get in your seat, please." the teacher tells him. he nods and sits at a small desk in the back with a window next to it. he gestures for me to stand in the corner, and I comply.

throughout the class, Peter doesn't seem to be listening at all. instead, he's on his computer with one headphone in, listening and watching music videos. "flash, answer the question please." the teacher calls on one of the students. He gets up and walks to the front of the class. he's a fairly big guy probably plays a sport. football or basketball I'm guessing. he has short blonde hair and somewhat pale skin. a little tanned.

he takes the marker from the teacher and solves the problem incorrectly, despite his confidence that he got it right. "I'm sorry flash, but that is wrong. anyone else thinks they can solve it... no one?..... Peter." the teacher calls, making peter flinch and pause the video he's watching. "yes?" he asks, confused. "If you're not paying attention then you must already get this new subject. mind solving the problem on the board?" the teacher calls him out. I look at peter to see what he will do. he looks up at the board, and immediately after, answer the question. "54.987," he says. the teacher nods her head. "correct. now Peter, get off the laptop. it's class time. do that at lunch. not in my class." she tells him. peter nods his head and closes his computer, looking out the window while he takes out his headphones.

flash goes to sit back down, glaring at Peter while doing so. that might be a minor concern.

the rest of the day goes by very slowly. peter seems to have no friends whatsoever, and never talks in school unless someone initiates a conversation. the only time he talked outside of class was at lunch when he told me to wait while he wants to the bathroom. I, of course, insisted on going but he refused to listen. when he came back he seemed more detached than usual, which concerned me. other then that, the day was uneventful.

when the last school bell rang, he practically ran out the doors. I had to run to catch up with him in the hallway.

"Finally. Let go get something to eat. I'm starving." Peter suggests. I look at him weirdly. "After what you had for lunch? You got at LEAST 5 trees of food." I protest. Peter just laughs. "What can I say? I'm a growing boy. And I'm starving, so let's go. I know a great sandwich shop nearby." He says, pulling me with his left arm even though he's right handed. Now that I think about it, he did favor his left side during lunch and after...

Before I know it we are at the sandwich shop, and peter is ordering for me and him. "One regular for me and get him the same, please." He asked nicely. The owner smile and started to prepare the sandwich.

Once he's done peter grabs the food, pays the owner, and grabs my arm again, pulling me along out of the shop. "In a rush?" I joke. "Yes. I wanna get home before I run in to anybody I know." He says. Confusion overtakes me for a second, but I shake it off.

Peters POV

Finally. At home. After what happened at lunch, I didn't want to run into any more people from my school.

~in restroom~

"Hey Parker." Flag greets wickedly. I roll my eyes. "What's with the body guard following you around?  To scared to go to school on your own now?" He pushes me against the wall of the restroom, gripping my arm very tightly. Even if he's not at strong as some of the villains I fight, he packs quite a punch. My arm starts to hurt. "Scared? No. Don't flatter yourself flash. You're not THAT intimidating." I say. That only pisses him off. He holds my chest down and pulls on my arm. I hold back a grunt of pain. "You think you're so smart. But don't forget, you're no one special. There is no one who loves you. Everyone who ever cared about you is in the ground. Six feet under." He says with venom. He lets go of my arm. He may not have dislocated it, but he came pretty close, making it hurt like hell. I had to favor my left side all day. It was a little difficult writing, but nothing I can't handle.

-end flashback.-

Once in my room I sat in my desk and began to do my homework. I didn't really care that my door was open a bit. It's not like I was naked or anything, so everything was fine.

I became engrossed in my work, until I heard a mock on my open door. I look up to see wade. "Yeah?" I ask. "Homework?" He asked. I nod. "Steve told me to go get you for dinner." He says. I nod again, getting up. We start walking to the living area. It's silent for a few moments, before wade decides to talk. "So, do you mind if I ask you a few questions. You know like, to get to know you..." he asks. "Sure. Ask away." I accept.

"Whats your favorite color?"

"Blue."

"Subject?"

"Science."

"Nerd. Alright, who is your least favorite scientist?"

I hesitate. "Come on Einstein" I push the thought away. Ignore it. It's fine. Calm down. "...Einstein." Wade looks surprised. "Really? I thought you would be like a super fan of him. Like all nerds are." I roll my eyes. "Yeah well, I've been told I was different." I say bitterly. The silence comes back, and this time no one breaks it.

We enter the living area to see Nat, Clint, vision, Wanda, dad, and pop. All of them, except pops, are sitting at the couches and arm chairs in front of the tv. Pops is putting some food on multiple plates. I decide to go help him.

"Hey Pete. Bring these to your father, Nat and Clint. I'll bring Wanda, vision, and wades. Well come back for ours." He says, handing me three plates to give to the people he told me to. I nod and grab the plates, balancing one on my arm so I can carry them all. I hand dads first, the Nat, then Clint. After my hands are empty, I head back for my plate, which is obviously the one with the most food. Pops being second best. I grab my plate and dig in, walking to the couch with the others, who are now watching the breaking bad on the tv. I sit down next to wade and continue to watch, ignoring his glances at me.
