Zero’s POV:
Some things live in the darkness. They are the beats that take human form and drink blood… vampires. Vampire hunters, they are humans who spend their time hunting down vampires.
Yagari:
I walk down an alley that smells a lot like vampires and I walk in a pile of sand. I pick some up. “Ants? No a dead vampire…” I say.
Mizuki’s POV:
The headmaster invited the Guardians to eat. “”My own creations, liver with fried veggies, stewed green veg with meat, minced fish, and other. Is it nice? How is it?” He says as he passes out the food. We all just quietly sit and eat. “It’s such a rare occasion that the 4 of us get to eat together! I worked so hard to make this!” He says heartbroken. “Even though he says they are his own it’s to good to be true.” Yuuki says. “Didn’t I tell you not to count me as family?” Zero complains. “At least you are all eating up.” The chairman says. “Did anything happen to you outside? Yuuki’s injury…” The headmaster says. I think about what Takuma said to Yuuki.
Yuuki’s POV:
“Why we took care of the vampire? If you want you know come to the Moon Dorm tonight. Don’t you want to know?” Takuma said to me. “These injuries…” I start to say. Can I tell the headmaster…? Zero and Mizuki didn’t mention anything about what happened… “Ah…!” Says the headmaster. Mizuki stops daydreaming and look up. “Oh, yes I all most forgot, Zero this… you are almost finished the ones you had right?” The headmaster says as he pulls out a packet of tablets. Mizuki look at Zero then the headmaster as she look at me she drops her head and looks out the window. “Blood tablets.” The chairman says. Zero takes them and they rattle in his hands. I look at Zero. “Don’t be at a loss, From now on, this will be a daily thing.” Zero tries to comfort me. Zero is the one at loss not me. “Ah…” I say. “Why do you all look like that? Even though these tablets are for restraining blood thirst, it’s similar to eating meals…”The chairman says. Mizuki got tense. She does when we talk about blood. I wonder why? Zero stands up. “Clam down! You must think positively Zero!” The headmaster says. The headmaster should know better to say that… because he knows all about Zero. About Zero… about vampires…I also want to know about vampires. So tonight…
Mizuki’s POV:
Zero asked me if I would go with him to the Moon Dorm with Yuuki and I said yes. I want to know more about vampires. And…I want to be with Zero… At the gate Zero loads his gun. As he does my hand goes to my side where my dagger is. I still need to name it… “Zero wait! You shouldn’t come with me with an attack in mind! I’m glad your coming but I’ll be fine by myself…you can go back…” Yuuki says. “If there wasn’t any trouble I wouldn’t have come.” He says as we walk. “This…” Yuuki says. “From this point on we’re in the Moon dorm’s vicinity… as expected, the vibe here is special…” Yuuki says. “Chiyo” I say. “What?” Zero and Yuuki ask. “That is what I have named it…my dagger…Chiyo…Eternal…” I say. The wind blows upwind and I smell vampire. We take out our weapons. “Here to welcome us? Vampires…” Zero asks as he points his gun to Kain’s head. “Yes that is correct… Takuma asked us to other wise I wouldn’t have done it.” Aido says. “Please put your weapons down.” Akatsuki asks us. They take us to a patio outside. The other vampires sensed our presence. As we pass one he takes out three throwing knifes. “I advise you to forget what you are think about doing. Or you will be dealt with.” I tell him. He smirks at me. AT ME! How dare he! But why do I feel this way? After all he is a vampire…I’m only human…
Yuuki’s POV:
The faces that are different from those at school… they take off their guises in the deep night… The vampires’ real appearances are displayed here. “Over here.” Kain says. “Ichijou I brought them here.” He says. “Oh!” Takuma says surprised. “You came Yuuki, Zero, and Mizuki!” He says happily. “Why…?” I say. “It’s my birthday party! Isn’t it fun!?” He says happily. This feel too much humanish not vampiric at all. But only him. “Well…how old are you…?’I ask listening to the flow of words. “How old…in human or vampire years…?” He asks. “Vam…vampire…?” I say not knowing which one. ‘I’m 18 an adult now… so as a present I’ll accept your kiss.” He says playfully. “Wha?!” I say out raged. Mizuki laughs. She seems so comfortable in this place. But how she’s so different from them. “AH? Oh, I didn’t come here to play! I’m here as a prefect to ask about what happened today!” I say outraged. “Oh my!” Takuma says. “I can’t pretend nothing happened, leaving school grounds is against the rules… no…compared to this… about that vampire…” I say. “It’s fine, go ahead and ask. Everyone here knows about it.” He says. “Does that mean dangerous vampires roaming the streets are uncommon?” I ask. “Also you were sent to kill him, right? What was that beast?” I ask again. “That was an ex-human vampire.” Aido says. I turn to look at him. “Yuuki… In the vampire society, those at the top are called pure bloods and a gathering of us is nobles. Everyone in the Night Class is of the nobles class and above… To put it like a pyramid, ex-humans are lowlier than normal vampires… the truth is they were not dealt with thoroughly. That vampire I killed was a level e… something that doesn’t even have a place in the pyramid.” Takuma explains.
