Vampire Knight (Fan Fiction) Vol. 2 Chapter 8 Forbidden

Zero’s POV:

I was young and my master was lying under a tree. “Because of me…your eye…I’m so sorry master. You told me to run, but I came back…” I apologized. “Do you want me to regret me saving you and risking my life? Really…! I didn’t save you to see this expression.” He said as he ruffled my hair. “Master… why do vampires hurt humans?” I asked him. “It’s because they are full of sorrow. Creatures that can’t defy their instincts… Because of this we must hunt them down. I, and other hunters, including the Kiriyu family, live only for this. Understand Zero?” He said to me. “Vampire will always be our enemy.” He said. The pain…it hurts…from the bullet…”Ah!” I say. “Zero…!” Mizuki and Yuuki say. “Even though it’s a light brush, the pain is great, because the bullet has a magical spell on it…Zero…even with your blood lust…you will still retain your awareness, am I right?” My master says. I close my eyes. Yuuki hugs me tighter. “You…are you that dullwit hermit’s daughter?” He asks Yuuki. “I’m not clear of your relationship with Zero, but I won’t let him die!” Yuuki says protectively. “Even if he falls to a level e?” He asks. “Me as well!” Mizuki says as she jumps in front of Yagari’s gun. “Mizuki…Yuuki… enough…”I say as I push Yuuki away. “Why has it turned to this!!! This is why I hate vampire hunters…!” The headmaster says as he run to us. “Alright, keep that thing away! And how long do you expect to keep a girl in cold water?! Poor kids, come, I’ll help you up.” He says holding out his hands. We jump out of the pool. Yuuki glares at my master. “What kind of person are you?” She asks. “Touga Yagari…vampire hunter. I was Zero’s sensei.” He says. “Right Zero?” He says. “Yes.” I answer. “You really are the headmasters daughter. You were almost bitten. I’m doing this for your own good. So don’t lame me.” He tells Yuuki.

Yuuki’s POV:

I’m sitting on my bed thinking about what happened to day. In the end the three of them went to the headmaster’s office. While Mizuki and I are left out… Even though the headmaster tells me not to worry… Zero’s body rejects the tablets…increasing his craving. If this goes on…Zero will suffer… I gasp waking up Yori. “Yuuki?” She asks. “I’m sorry, did I wake you?” I ask as she sits on my bed. “You seem to be troubled lately…” She says. I’m so helpless. Zero… I keep remembering that word. “Enough…”

The Next Day

Yuuki’s POV:

Zero didn’t come to school today… I think as I do my duties as a Guardian with Mizuki. She seems more distracted then me. How close is she to Zero? In the halls I see Yagari. I pull on his shirt. “What happened to Zero? He didn’t come to class, and the headmaster isn’t here either…what did you do to Zero?” I ask him. “Isolated him of course.” He says. “Isolated!? Is he ok? Where is he?” I ask him. “Go away, I can’t talk right now. That hermit says Zero can’t be allowed to be here! He must leave the troublesome things to me. I’m Night Moral Class lecturer now.” He says. “What…a teacher?!” I ask. “You two better go do your job.” He says s he slams the door in my face.

Night Class:

A human walks in with a book covering his face. We all glare at him. “I’m Touga Yagari you new Teacher for Morals. Yoroshiku? Vampires…” He says. “Yagari… the #1 vampire hunter that was in the news had the same name…” Rima says. “So, this is the guy responsible for last night’s gunshot.” Aido says. “Relax, I’ve gotten a teaching license, I’m a qualified educator.” Yagari says. “I heard you were in a far away place. So your back…still gathering info of the Night Class? Or do you have a target among us…Yagari sensei…” Kaname say. “All in all Kuran…So sorry but I have a clean sheet. But if you fall asleep in Class I’ll probably add to that record.” He says. “I’ll take note, sensei…” Kaname says closing his book. The vampires hear laughing from outside. They look out the window and Mizuki was cracking up.

Yuuki’s POV:

I wait outside the door for Zero’s master. “Have you been standing here this whole time? I though you’d look for Zero with Mizuki.” He says. “Since you say Zero’s fine…I thought you’re the one that was at risk of the vampires… I don’t want that to happen since I’m a prefect…” I say. “What a good kid…but… even still there’s nothing you can do. If you must see him…go. He’s in the headmaster’s private quarters.” He says. Mizuki comes out from a corner. “Really! He’s been there this whole time?!” She asks. “And you as well?” Yagari asks her. “Touché” She says. Wow those two actually can get along. As we walk away I notice there is a throwing knife stuck in his book.

Mizuki’s POV:

I run ahead of Yuuki. I must see Zero! Yuuki follows close behind me. I knock on the door. He opens it. He looks surprised to see us there. “Everything is fine, so, you can leave.” He says as he starts to shut the door. I slip in before he can close it anymore. Then Yuuki grabs on to it too. “Wait Zero, why should you stay here? Just because he told you to stay…” She asks him. “That person…was a guardian and a teacher to my brother and I. My parents were never home. At that time…I saw my first level e vampire…she was a school nurse, a very elegant and beautiful person. But she was really a vampire who had escaped her noble’s control. One day she transformed into a beastly vampire in front of us. My master lost his eye protecting us. All because of our assumption that doctors and nurses are good…the price of naivety…” Zero says as he remembers that horrible memory. “You want to give up on everything…everything you have…you left me with the gun…so, don’t leave our side!” Yuuki says. “You gave her a gun?” I ask Zero. He didn’t answer me. “What so she could kill you when things go wrong?!” I say angry. “Zero, why won’t you look at me?” Yuuki asks. “Let me in…” She says. I start to cry. How could he give up like this? I ran out the door.

Yuuki’s POV:

I’m glad she left I need to be with Zero alone. I take his hand and lead him to the bathroom. “Yuuki…?” Zero asks me. “No one will find us in here…” I say as I close the door. The showerhead drips water. “Please start were you left off yesterday…” I say as I take off my uniform jacket leaving my white blouse.

Night Class:

Kaname stands in the hall outside of the classroom. “The next class is going to start are you coming in?” Takuma asks peeking out his head of the door. “I’m not interested in that old man’s class… Macroscopic Economic Discussion.” Kaname says as he reads his book. “Where did Yuuki go? She was worried about something…” Takuma says. Kaname closes his book. “Kaname…?” Takuma asks. “Yuuki, she is kind hearted…” Kaname says.

Yuuki’s POV:

“I’ve thought of the only thing I can do…” I tell Zero. “What are you saying…?” He asks but he knows very well. I push Zero to the wall. “This is the only solution, Zero…” I say. He slides down the wall. “Drink my blood Zero… to stop your thirst, even if it’s only for a little while…” I say grabbing his shirt. “Stop…I won’t…forgive myself…” He says. “I know… I’ve thought about it a lot… let us do something…unforgiveable…” I say as Zero bites my neck.

Mizuki’s POV:

I can smell Yuuki’s blood as I run to the horse barn. I fight the tears but they keep coming. Zero is drinking her blood… why won’t he drink mine…he likes me doesn’t he. I tack up White Lily blinded by my tears. Vampires lust the blood of the ones they love… does he not love me… I swing my leg over the saddle and ride into the forest. There is a storm coming…I can feel it. But I don’t care.
