Once I knew for certain everybody was recharging, I got up to have a walk on my own once more.
I was so upset that Optimus wanted to leave. Although I loved him with all my spark, there were some things he did that really drove me off the edge.
I heard soft ped-steps behind me and knew exactly who was following me
I whirled around angrily to face the Prime, and he must've seen the fury in my optics because he backed up a couple steps.
"Orchid," he began.
I held up a servo,"I don't want to hear your excuses, Prime."
My tone bit deep into Optimus, I felt it through our bond.
Still, he walked up to me. Now we stood a servo's-breadth away from each other.
"Orchid, I did not want it this way either," he said gently,"If it were up to me we would stay, but Earth is no longer safe."
He sighed and rubbed his fave-plates,"I just want somewhere safe for us to raise a family."
"Optimus," I said,"This is the only place safe enough to raise a family. Where else will we live? On a space-ship for the rest of our lives?"
Optimus reached for me,"Orchid, please don't be like this."
I stepped away out of reach and physically felt his spark begin to shatter. I should stop. Apologize. Before I destroyed everything.
"I can't leave this planet, Optimus," I whispered.
Optimus looked at the ground and his servos dropped to his sides.
I felt tears begin to prickle my optics, but didn't rub them away.
"Orchid," he whispered,"do you still...love me?"
I bit my lip,"I will always love you, Optimus. But I still cannot leave Earth."
"Why not?" he snapped, looking at me.
I couldn't give him a reason. I just stared into his blue optics. We were both hurting.
"Orchid, please, come with us," he pleaded.
I snapped.
"No! Get it into your helm! I'm not leaving!" I nearly screamed at the top of my voice-box and leaped at him.
Optimus caught me and we tumbled to the ground. He managed to roll on top of me and pinned me to the ground.
I beat on his chassis in an effort to get him off, but my blows were futile. I could no longer see, as my vision was blurred by tears.
Optimus wrapped his arms around me and sat up, pulling me against his chassis in a hug.
My face-plates were streaked with tears and I could do nothing but bury my helm in his shoulder-plate and cry.
Optimus held me close and stroked my back-plate softly, murmering sweet nothings into my hair.
I eventually calmed down, but I remained in Optimus' arms. I felt safe there.
Optimus began stroking my hair and I sighed.
"I love you," he whispered.
I pressed closer to him and buried my helm in his shoulder-plate. I didn't quite trust myself to speak yet, as it might bring another flow of tears.
"Orchid," Optimus whispered,"Please, look at me."
I pulled away just enough so I could look into his optics.
He smiled a little and wiped away my tears.
"I always thought...that our sparklings would be born here," I whispered,"So they could see the trees, the grass, the mountains. The beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Feel the cool water and breezes. To be happy here. That has always been my dream."
Optimus pressed his lips against my fore-helm,"I'm sorry."
I rested my helm against his chest-plate. I could hear his spark beating in a steady rhythm.
Optimus rested his chin on my helm and began humming. I found myself humming along. The sing didn't make sense, but it calmed both of us considerably.
Optimus lay back with me on his chest-plate and kissed the top of my helm.
"Are you ready to have sparklings yet?" he asked.
I lifted my helm to look at him again and thoughy for a moment.
"No, not yet," I replied.
Optimus nodded and kissed me,"I can wait."
I kissed him back then fell asleep on his chest-plate.
I do remember waking up a little when he picked me up and carried me back to where the others were recharging and lay me down on the soft grass.

The next morning I felt much better. I was so tired actually, that Optimus had to shake me awake.
Once I was fully awake, I went to wake up the humans. They had slept in an abandoned train.
I knocked on the train wall gently with a digit.
I saw Cade stirr from one of the train seats and get up to wake the other two.
"Orchid!" Kamicazii cried, "Come here!"
I walked over to my friend, who was now a Predacon once more. She was trying out her wings.
"I can fly, like you now!" the femme giggled, doing a loop-de-loop and getting stuck in a tree.
"Oops," she said.
I chuckled and helped Kamicazii down,"You need a little more practice."
"We've intercepted communications," Drift announced suddenly,"Joshua Joyce is headed to his factory in Guanjunn, China."
"I'll drive!" Hound offered, but immediately everyone shouted,"NO!!!"
"Come on! Can't a mech live his dreams?" he asked.
"Only once you can pilot a fighter ship without killing everybody and yourself," Aura said,"Crosshairs drives."
"How fast can that thing get us half-way across the world?" Cade asked.
"Very, it's a spaceship," Drift boasted and Blue Moon gently punched him in the arm.
The ship was ready to launch now, and Optimus still hadn't changed his mind.
"Move! We're retrieving the Seed but then we're done protecting the humans."
"Done?" Cade asked.
"It means 'see ya', 'later', 'good-bye'," Crosshairs explained sarcastically.
I rolled my optics and went up the ramp into the ship.
******************************
As we were flying, I decided to explore a little bit and walked into a conversation Optimus and Cade were having.
"When you said you were done protecting the humans you didn't really mean that right?" Cade asked.
Optimus sighed and stood up,"How many more of my kind must be sacrificed, to atone for your mistakes?"
"That's what being human means," Cade replied,"We make mistakes. And sometimes out of those mistakes come the most amazing things."
Cade looked over at where Shane and Tessa were sitting, looking out the ship's window.
"When I fixed you, it was for a reward. All for money that was it. That was me making a mistake," the man explained,"Without it you wouldn't be here."
Optimus looked thoughtful.
"So of you haven't got faith in us then I'm asking you to do what I do," Cade continued,"I'm asking you to look at all the junk and see the treasure. You gotta have faith, Prime, in who we can be."
That put both me and Optimus into deep thought for the rest of the journey.
