To be honest, I was terrified when Orchid leapt off Grimlock's back. I thought for a moment she was going to...I don't know...accidentally get trampled by the giant Dinobot.
No, she deployed her wings and flew straight upwards, letting out an exhilarating roar. She was ready for battle.
We reached the edge of the mountain and the border of the city. Grimlock laid waste to anything in his path. Cars, business stands, parts of buildings. I just hoped there weren't any humans that got under-ped.
"Faster!" I urged Grimlock,"Go!"
Grimlock jumped to tackle a prototype and I leapt off at the same to attack an unwary robot.
"I'll kill you!" I shouted, removing his helm, neck-cables, and part of his shoulder-plate with my sword in one clean swipe.
And yes, he died.
I jumped back on Grimlock's back and pointed my sword ahead.
"Chaaaaaarge!" I shouted and the Dinobot spat a fireball, eliminating some robots on a bridge.
"Optimus is here!" I heard Hound shout joyfully.
I had not yet seen Orchid, or the other femmes for that matter. I wondered where they were.
Suddenly Aura landed behind me on Grimlock and gave me a hug.
"Sweet ride, brother!" she shouted over the noises of battle.
"Aura, do you know where the other femmes are?" I asked.
"Blue Moon saw Drift so she went to help him, but I don't know where Kamicazii and Orchid are," she replied.
Grimlock roared at Strafe, who was eating a group of robots. Her helms roared back and she flew off.
"What was that about?" Aura asked.
"I...don't know," I replied.
Grimlock breathed more fire and roared again.
Strafe returned after a couple of minutes with Orchid on her back.
"Where's Kamicazii?" Aura asked.
"She needed some help, but I won't tell you the whole story because I'm certain she would like to do that herself," Orchid replied.
Grimlock looked at Orchid and snorted.
"Grimlock wanted me here so I could see him fight," Orchid explained.
I nodded. That was understandable.
Grimlock started with a jolt that sent Aura flying off his back. I just barely managed to hold on tight enough with my knees.
A group of prototypes charged us, but Grimlock incinerated them into a molten pile of scrap metal with a blast of fire.
I leaped off his back and caught another robot that decided to come out of nowhere foolishly. I cut his arm off then thrust my sword into his chest-plate before dragging the blade upwards through his helm to cut him partially in half. I was planning to do the same to Lockdown when he next showed his miserable face-plates again.
I jumped onto Grimlock again and nudged the Dinobot in the direction of where I could see Cade...and the annoying bald man Joshua Joyce.
"You," I said, pointing my blade's tip at him.
"Who me?" Joshua stammered.
"Yeah, you," Cade replied, shoving the man forward.
"You're technology will be the result of human's extinction," I growled.
"Look, I-I know you're sensitive to this whole...new technology thing..." Joshua tried to explain.
"Maybe all he wants to hear is that some things never should be invented," Cade verified.
Grimlock roared in the man's face and I heard him scream. High-pitched, not manly at all.
"Okay," he squeaked, cowering away.
"We've got to get this bomb over the bridge and out of the city," I said,"We shall lead the way. Autobots, roll out!"
******************************
We were nearing the bridge. Orchid was sitting in front of me again, but she was tense. Very tense.
"What is it?" I whispered in her audio.
"Something...is coming. I can hear it," she replied, twitching the tips of her audios every which way,"It sounds like...a ship."
My optics widened,"Lockdown."
Orchid growled and pointed up ahead,"There."
And there it was. Lockdown's ship. He had realized his prisoners were gone, along with some valuable prizes, and had come to reclaim them. Or at least, attempt to.
I watched as a ship (a human boat) was lifted out of the water along with other things made of metal and raised towards a large hole in the bottom of the space-ship.
"Optimus, we must retreat!" Orchid shouted.
There was a loud 'chunk', and everything the ship picked up was dropped right in front of us.
"Autobots, fall back!" I shouted.
A large container bounced and hit me and Orchid, knocking us off Grimlock.
"Grimlock, don't let the magnet catch you!" Orchid shouted to the Dinobot.
I helped her up.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. You?" she asked.
I smiled a little,"Never better."
Orchid looked up,"Uhh, we better move!"
The ship was coming closer, sucking up metal objects and dropping them again.
We were right by a wharf, so whenever a large ship of tankard landed(sometimes both) in the water, it would send a huge wave that could knock even Hound off his peds.
One such wave caught me off guard and swiped my peds out from under me.
"Gah!" I exclaimed as I went under. Water filled my mouth. It tasted like...salt.
My sister helped me up,"Hurry, Optimus!"
We ran after the little vegetable delivery van that Shane was putting into very fast reverse so the humans would not get picked up by the magnet.
I shoved a falling container away from Bumblebee. He and Kamicazii had returned to us very quickly after Orchid did.
I heard Blue Moon scream and turned around to see her getting picked up by the magnet.
Drift saw her too.
"BLUE MOON!!!" he shouted.
Orchid growled and her wings sprouted from her back-plate.
She swept past the magnetic current and caught Blue Moon, then set her friend down gently well away from the ship.
Drift gave his Sparkmate a quick hug and then we were back to running again.
I had lost sight of Cade and the others, and that worried me.
We all ducked behind a building to catch our breath. Cybertronians could run a lot longer than humans, but they still got tired out. And the slight magnetic pull slowed us down and put more pressure on us. Even Orchid, who I think has the most stamina, was panting.
"We can't outrun that thing forever," she now said.
Blue Moon nodded,"There must be a way to destroy it."
"Only from the inside," Crosshairs told her,"Unless someone's volunteering to be sucked up and jab a knife or somethin' up that ship giant magnet-hole, we ain't gonna have much luck with that."
"Are you volunteering, Crosshairs?" Kamicazii asked, crossing her arms.
"Pits no!" he exclaimed.
"Our first priority is to get the Seed across the bridge," Aura interrupted,"But, where is Cade and the others?"
"Optimus!" I heard Cade yell.
"There!" I smirked at my sister and we all filed out.
Only to be greeted by an armada of prototypes shooting at us.
Orchid lifted her servos and first I thought she was surrendering (which would have put me in shock for several days), but no. She was doing something. I could tell, as she was humming something.
Suddenly one of the prototypes punched another of it's kind.
There was a full-blown battle soon after. The robots were now killing each other, instead of focusing on killing us.
"Go, I can't keep them like this forever," Orchid hissed. I could hear the strain in her voice and see it on her face-plates.
"Autobots," I said and signalled for them to move forwards.
"Cade," I said in relief when I saw the man and his family come running. Joshua was carrying the bomb.
"Autobots, get this bomb over the bridge and out of the city," I ordered.
As the others ran off, the ship caught up to me and the Dinobots. I knew because it caught Orchid first.
The magnetic pull dragged me off my peds. I tried desperately to hang onto a street light, but they are not put very deep in the ground and it snapped off and I was floating again.
There was a large arch created by two buildings joined together, that stopped our ascent for a while, but the pull was crushed me against the wall.
Orchid hit the building next to me.
With great difficulty and a lot of strain, I grabbed her servo.
Orchid looked at me. I could see fear in her optics.
Slug hit the building next, nearly crushing Orchid, and the entire thing broke off.
I grabbed on tightly to a part of the building, but I knew I couldn't hold on forever.
I let go of Orchid's servo and aimed my shield gun upwards.
I roared as I fired three blasts straight into the mouth of the magnet.
There was a loud 'clooong', and the magnet blew up, releasing us from it's grip.
I hit the ground hard, but rolled back onto my peds just in time to catch Orchid as she fell.
She was breathing very hard and her grip around my neck-cables was tight.
"It's okay, I'm here," I whispered in her audio.
Orchid finally sighed in relief.
"You can...put me down now, Optimus," she said.
I gently set her back on her own peds and grabbed my sword, which I had dropped.
"Go with the others with the Seed," I said,"I'll deal with Lockdown."
"No, you'll be killed," she argued.
"Go," I ordered and ran off to find Lockdown.

Author's Note: Phew! That was one long chapter. But, it was fun to write.
I can't believe that this book is almost over! I honestly thought I might have to do like, three more chapters but no! One more I think.
Anyways, thanks for reading this chapter and Orchid will be back in the next chapter.
That sounded kinda weird.
