I try to not fall asleep in class as the teacher drones on and on about hobbies and stuff, then suddenly my teacher said, "I want you to do that as your homework, class dismissed." Everyone emptied out of the room as my friends gathered around me.
"You weren't listening, huh?" Joey said, putting his hand on my shoulder, "We're supposed to try to use our hobby to earn some money for our class to donate to an animal shelter" Lauren said.
We file out of class and I see Oli standing at my locker. I watch from afar and see he is waving to a girl nearby. I watch again and they hug, a pang of jealousy hits my chest and I head in a direction. My friends run after me and I say, "I... think we should all just do our homework now, school's over, bye".
I run.

I dump my bag onto my bed and throw my phone onto the bed. Who was that girl Oli was with? Why am I getting so worked up about this? What? What? Why?
I grab my phone as a message appeared on my screen, it read: Hi Honey! It's mum, I heard about your assignment and was just at an old folks home, I told them you would sing some songs for them at around 4 so could you please do that? Thanks, sweetie ~Mum💖
I stared at the message.
Thanks, mum.
I sigh and look at my watch, 2.30. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the old folks home nearby (which I know for a fact is the one my mother went to)
I let my hair down and lie on the bed, sighing. I look to my right and see Oli through the window, he's filming a Minecraft video (that's quite rare so I'm surprised)
I quietly climb through my window and silently walk to his window. I open it slowly...
"BOO!!" I scream at him, hugging him and falling over at the same time. "AAAHHH!!" He screams, falling off his chat with me on top of him.
I laugh as he shakes his head vigorously, "Y/N!!!" He screams at me, laughing. I hug him and stand up, "sorry haha I had to" I laugh, he laughs, we laugh ok that's weird.
"Have you met f/n?" Oli asked, gesturing to his bed, on his bed was sat f/n! "f/n!!!" I scream, tackling my friend.
"Y/N!" She squeals, hugging me. I have not seen her in around 10 years!!
"I saw her today in school" Oli said. So that was the girl he saw...
I smile at both of them, nod, and try to keep the tears from spilling down my cheeks.
"Bye"

I make it to old folks home, wearing jeans, an off shoulder maroon T-shirt and a red beanie.

I introduced myself to the elders and smile at them, hiding all my pain.
