*Dakota's POV*

Addie drove us for awhile. We were all silent. Well, except for Jack who was humming some sort of song. When Addie did stop, it was in front of my house.

"No," I shook my head at Addie.

"Oh come on, my house doesn't have a basement," Addie whined.

"We are not sticking him in the basement!" I yelled.

"Yeah, please don't," Jack said.

"Fine. Plus, my mom will freak. Yours is hardly ever even home," Addie said.

I crossed my arms and shook my head.

"Come on. Please, please, please, please, please," Addie whined.

"Do I have a say in this?" Jack asked.

"No!" Addie yelled to him.

After that, Jack shut up. I was pretty sure he was scared of Addie. If I was in the same position as him right now though then I would feel the same way.

"Dakota, I need this," Addie whined.

"You're being crazy. Whatever though, he can have the guest bedroom," I rolled my eyes. Giving in was something I was used to doing with Addie because she always got her way.

"Oh yay, I get a bed," Jack said sarcastically.

"What did I say about talking?" Addie asked and turned around to face him.

Jack raised his hands in defense and rolled his eyes.

"Let's just go," I said. It came out bitchier then I intended but whatever. I was pissed.

We all got out of the car. Jack didn't try to run away this time. He just followed us into my house. My mom wasn't home again. She was a doctor and worked double shifts practically every night. Not that I was complaining. When you're a single mom with a teenage daughter, crazy work schedules are expected.

Addie went to my room and told me to lead Jack to the guest room. So that's what I did.

"And this will be your room," I said and motioned toward it.

"Like I'll be able to sleep. I have a feeling that that Addie girl will watch me in my sleep," Jack rolled his eyes.

"Okay, she's not that bad. She's just...she worked really hard to get money for tickets but by the time she had enough you guys were sold out," I explained.

"So that gives her an excuse to kidnap me?" Jack asked.

"Well...no. Just cut her some slack please," I said.

Jack didn't say anything to that. Just put his hands in his pockets and walked around the room.

"How did she even get you to come with her? I mean, you must've had to walk to the car with her," I said.

"She knew some guy who worked at the venue or something. He must've told her when we were doing our sound check because that's when she showed up. She took pictures with all of us and met us. Then she told me she had a present for me out in her car and that I was her favorite. I love my fans, they're the sweetest. So, I believed her. I didn't think she would end up pushing me in the car. Now, here we are," Jack explained.

"I can give you my address," I sighed.

"What?" Jack asked, confused.

"If you want to call one of your friends to come pick you up. I can give you me address," I said quietly to make sure that Addie wouldn't hear me.

"I don't have my phone. If I called from any of yours they wouldn't answer. They'd think it was a fan that somehow got their number," Jack said.

"Why don't you have your phone?" I asked.

"Zach had it to post something on my Instagram story," Jack sighed and laughed.

"Who the hell is Zach?" I asked.

"Wow, you really don't know us," Jack laughed and then flopped back on the bed.

"Not at all," I shook my head.

"You know, that hurts my soul a little bit. You've had to have heard one of our songs," Jack said.

"Umm..." I trailed off, trying to think if Addie had played one of their songs for me.

"I don't really want a trust fund baby. I like my women independent. And I say to people 'that's my lady'. And we don't need nothing e-e-e-lse," Jack sang then raised an eyebrow at me.

I thought about it then shook my head no at him.

"Okay, umm," Jack thought then sang, "Ooh, I want 'em all. These girls! The ones that you bring home to momma. These girls! And the ones who love all of the drama. I swear there's way too many, tryna fall for one but I can't help it, I just want to love all. These girls!"

I shook my head no again and laughed.

"You know, I give up," Jack laughed.

"I'm sorry," I laughed.

"You should be. Our music is good," Jack teased.

I shook my head at him and laughed. He stuck his tongue out at me then laughed too.

"I should go check on Addie," I told Jack, snapping back to reality.

"Oh yeah, sure," Jack nodded.

I walked into my room. Addie was asleep, taking up my whole bed. Great. I would be sleeping on the couch. Unless I slept in my mom's room but I didn't want her to come home from work and then to see me there.

I went back into Jack's room. He was looking around and then looked at me when I walked in.

"Well, Addie's asleep," I shrugged.

"Cool. So what do you want to do?" Jack asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Let's hang out. In fact, I bet I can make you a limelight in the next hour," Jack crossed his arms and smirked at me.

"Challenge accepted," I laughed.
