*Dakota's POV*

Hesitantly, I drove. Something was wrong with Addie.

"Who the hell is he?" I asked her.

"Oh please, don't act like you don't know," the boy huffed from the backseat.

"I'm not acting," I said and shot him a glare through the rearview mirror.

"Oh yeah, getaway car. You guys are idiots. I'm pressing charges, have you know," the boy rolled his eyes.

"Pressing charges?! I didn't do shit! Addie, what's going on?" I asked her again.

Addie ignored me. She just sat there, smiling. How could she smile?

"Addie!" I yelled.

"Shh, Dakota. Our job is done. Now we just wait for tickets," Addie told me then started to check radio stations.

"Tickets? Omg, is he in that band you like?" I asked Addie.

Addie turned around to face the boy. Then she turned forward again and smiled.

"Did you kidnap him? I swear to god, what have you gotten us into?" I asked.

"You seriously had no idea about this?" the boy asked me and leaned forward.

"No idea," I shook my head.

The boy leaned back in his seat. I took a look at Addie before looking back at the road because I was driving a car.

"Addie, we can't just kidnap him...what the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"Listen, I need tickets," Addie said and snapped.

"Dramatic much?" the guy whispered.

"Who are you?" I asked him.

"My name is Jack. Jack Avery. I'm still not entirely convinced you don't know me," the boy replied.

"He is the key. We just keep him overnight. When we give him back in the morning one of them, probably Jonah, we'll be so grateful we found him they'll give us tickets. Then all of our problems are solved!" Addie squealed.

"Why'd you have to drag me into this? I don't even know your stupid band!" I said.

"Hey! I'm in that band!" Jack yelled.

I rolled my eyes and continued to drive the car. I found a place to pull over then I did. As soon as the car was parked, Jack ran out.

"Brb!" Addie yelled.

She ran out of the car. I got out too, just in time to see her tackle Jack to the ground. Those years of football with her brothers really paid off. Wait, no. What she was doing was crazy. I shouldn't be supporting her.

"Why is she so strong?!" Jack called out to me.

"She has three older brothers!" I yelled back and laughed.

Addie grabbed Jack's arms and led him back to the car. She pushed him in the backseat then put on the child lock. Okay, she really was crazy. Now he could only get out if we opened the door, he couldn't open it from the inside.

"Addie, think about this," I said in the calmest voice I could manage.

"I am. I created a plan. Have you not been listening?" Addie asked and gave me a laugh. She tried to open the passenger door but I closed it before she could.

"Addie, police could get involved. This is not a smart thing to do. We should just take him back and cross our fingers that he doesn't press charges," I said.

"Not going to happen. Time for you to get in the passenger, I'm driving," Addie said. Before I could protest against that, she grabbed the keys from my hand and ran to the driver side. I got in the passenger then and she started driving. I turned back toward Jack. He was bouncing his knee up and down and had his eyes closed.

"Jack," I said.

He opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Please don't press charges," I pleaded.

"Too bad," Jack said and closed his eyes again.
