"Look I don't know what my brother did, but it's not my fault you know?" Spencer whispered. I was in class, the only one I shared with Spencer; English.
"Spencer, not here." I hissed. I wasn't in the mood to hear anything about his stupid hot brother. Plus I was focused on today's coursework, unlike him because he's an effing nerd who knows everything.
"You won't even talk to me, so I have no where else to confront you but here." Spencer spoke a little louder.
"Gentlemen in the back?" the teacher announced.
"Sorry Mr. Stanforth." Spencer took the blame. The teacher was cool enough to let it slide. College teachers are awesome.
"I'll talk to you after class. Just stop or you'll get us kicked out. And no talking until class is over. " he grinned in triumph. My pen dried. I looked at him, doodling a fancy 'R' against the whole page. I snatched his pen and ignored his protests.

"What if she's actually pregnant, Livi?" Spencer's worry was eating him up. His Roommate's girlfriend said she's pregnant the day he broke up with her. Sounds fishy if you ask me.
"That hoe is lying. We all know she's been getting dicked down by half the student body." Livi the ever so subtle said.
She, Spencer, and I were sitting on a campus table under a tree. I was too busy sorting my papers to indulge in their conversation, even though Ryder is my best friend and is infertile. But I let their ongoing drama unfold. If you asked me, it would make a great book.
"Uh later guys." Livi said when she saw Jessy coming our way. She grabbed her arm and they went away.
I looked at Spencer when I noticed he wasn't making any sounds, which meant he's either in a depressive mood, or waiting. The latter more likely.
"Your brother is a bitch." I simply stated.
"But what's that have to do with me??" he voiced out his frustration.
"You're a bitch by blood."
"Jack!"
"I'm kiddin, okay?"
"Sure sounded real for me."
"He lead me on and disappeared." I felt myself hurt at that. It really hurt.
"What do you mean by that? What even happened on Christmas?"
My mind went to the steamy session I had with Hunter's giant d-
"We played Uno." I said. "And decided to be boyfriends."
"You-" he was too stunned. I had that effect on people. "You literally met and decided to be boyfriends?"
"Yes, and played Uno." it was so not Uno.
"Ryder and I been dancing around each other with our hands tied for months, and you guys dated in one day?"
"Yes Spencer raise your voice more, Dean Hedge hasn't heard that yet." I folded the last of my papers into my folder and slammed my hands on it, shaking the table. "It doesn't matter, does it?" I knew how bitter my voice was. I couldn't help it. "He hasn't spoken to me since that very day. He just disappeared and left me with a vague memory of himself. At least you get Ryder around you."
"I—didn't know that, I'm sorry. If it's any consolation, he didn't contact me either, but that's how he is. I'm used to it. He goes off the radar for weeks." didn't know if Spencer was trying to make me feel better or more like shit.
Eventually I sighed. He was right; it wasn't his fault his brother's a douche.
"If I hear anything from him I'll let you know." He said as he picked up his stuff and darted to his next class.

Time goes slow when you're thinking about this one person that you want; only them. And then you start going through all those things that you could've done together if they were here. You make up so many scenarios of 'what would happen's and weep about them in the silence of your bedroom. It was the same thing with Hunter, in addition to a touch of anxiety in the mix.
Did he hate me?
Did he think I wasn't a good fuck?
Did he think I wasn't worth the trouble and he was leaving anyway so why bother tell him?
I had a lot of questions and a new one popped every now and then.
My phone lay silently on the nightstand of my bedroom. My bedroom was one out of four, and it only fit a bed and a nightstand and something that I call a closet. Next to the closet, squeezed between it and the wall was my musical keyboard. The other three each had a roommate: Jessy, Vanessa, and Ethane. His name is Ethan but we called him Ethane because he farts a lot.
Jessy is very close to me, almost as much as Vanessa was before she accused me of trying to get into Spencer's pants. Now we don't talk, but I sadly can't avoid her when we share a kitchen and a living room.
As for Ethane, he's as irrelevant as it gets. He just pays his share of rent and goes on with his life.
I got up to grab a cup of coffee from the kitchen, where Vanessa glared at me for not saying good morning back.
When I was back in my room, Jessy was in it already. We always have our morning coffee together.
"No word from Hunter, huh." Jessy said right when I stepped in.
"That evident?"
"I'll tell you this because I care: you look like shit."
I didn't take in a bad way. She was right I was being a mess for all the wrong reasons.
I sat in my bed, the mug leaning on my chest, slightly warmer than how he felt when he was pressed to it instead.
Jessy was sighing and huffing and trying to take a decent selfie but ending up 'looking like a mountain troll who just woke up'. She looked prettier than most girls I knew.
"Why is it so hard to get a good selfie?" she voiced out her frustrations.
"I hate this, " I said. She shook her head, asking which thing I'm hating now. "Social media. Selfies. Photo sharing apps. It's like we always have to present ourselves to others in a perfect picture, and we're far from it. It stresses me out."
She looked at her phone, seemingly convinced. She stopped taking selfies but we both knew that tomorrow the same issue will happen for her 'morning streaks', whatever that is.
Just then, my phone rang. My neck snapped towards it, spilling a bit of coffee. That's how I've been for the past week. Always anticipating a call or text, hoping it would be him.
It was him after all.
I took the call, and there was too much noise to hear anything.
I yelled his name over and over, but he couldn't possibly hear with that noise all around.
Just when I thought the line will go off, he spoke.
"Jack?"
